Injector/MAF Recommendation

Unread postby nanserbe » Wed Jun 07, 2017 1:14 pm

Are 60lb/80lb Siemens Deka EV1's and an 90mm lightning MAF (M-12579-L54) still what's recommended?

Going on a HCI mustang, probably not much more for mods later on. My 24's are in need of replacement (leaking, one is stuck now, they're old, etc.)

Thanks.

Those will work. The MAF doesn't necessarily have to be a Lightning piece, anything that will flow enough for your motor will be fine.

Ah okay, I have an older Pro-M Bullet (plastic housing) MAF that's calibrated for 24's that I can use, I still have the 15pt sheet laying around somewhere.

For some reason I thought I remembered reading that the lightning MAF was crazy accurate or something?

Got the 60#'s from power adder solutions on Chris' recommendation. They have a $50 discount code going right now on both the 60's and 80's. Ended up being $299 shipped making it $37.25 per injector! Big props to Chris for his help too!

That's a great price and the 60s are the most accurate mass produced injector ever created.

So, looking at the 60lb injector data on this site (http://www.efidynotuning.com/injdata.htm) versus the M-9593-LU60 datasheet, I have two different recommendations for fuel pressure - 39.15 and 55psi.

Which is it?

I need a new fuel pressure regulator so the difference will dictate if I get a stock one or an adjustable.

the injector reference page lists the flow data for either 40 or 55psi which ever you select

the pressure is up to you, check out the pre tune info link and see if your injectors will support the power your trying to make at 40 or if you need to raise it to 55 go get a little more out of it

always best to use a stock fpr if u can

Oh wow, I didn't even see the listing right below it for 40psi. Thanks for pointing that out!
