#1 at 12 o'clock

Ok trying to help my buddy get his card figured out.
Like the title says his #1 plug is at 12 o'clock but mine is at 11 and everything I see online shows foxbody's at 11 o'clock.

So long story short-- it was tuned pulled very good no problem had problems with it cutting off finally found bad wire in fender(wire tucked) he had messed with FP timing etc. I have gone back over everything and the tune a few times. The dist was not pulled.
The car runs ok but falls on its face up top.

I am thinking the balancer has slipped or maybe a tooth off or maybe msd has crapped out

Any input would be appreciated

I heard you mention MSD

Id start there

yeah it should be around the 1130 position when set correctly

that wouldnt cause it to cut out or act up though

Yeh, it's an MSD BTM that was on there when he got the car. Pulling it tomorrow and double-checking DTC so timing is confirmed

Thanks

OK, so we pulled MSD installed New plugs, new cap, reset FP to 40 no vac went back through tune still breaks up around 4000.

I also feel a vibration when free rev around 3500 up just compared to how smooth mine is. Also, he failed to tell me before I went in circles wondering what was up with tune being that it was running very good. He said he was showing out and went from 3rd to 2nd full throttle and clutched as fast as he could but I bet that was a good bit of stress on the motor etc

double-checking with high dollar MAC timing light #1 ends up a tad past 12 o'clock

I am having him pull pulleys and balance bolt to see if key sheared maybe. After that maybe valves(compression) Nothing seems to be in oil no bubbles in rad

Edit here is the log from last night the WB is up and down like the MAF is not linear

any other thought?
