2.0 DURATEC EEC MPC E85 TUNE

Hi all,

anyone here have experience with eec mpc?

problem is fuel crank with E85, on my def i have fncrk_delay / fncrkmul_far / fncrk_lam

i have try lot of thing but at this moment the only map that reduce pw crank is fncrkmul_far and fncrk_lam but engine take approx 2seconds to fire in cold and warm situation.
i have try too just tune the fncrkmul_far and fncrk_lam stock but take 3seconds to fire.
timing is shooting for e85, battery voltage on crank : 10.5Volts
and of course fuel trims are nearly from 0%
another thing, i check the lambda with my large bande, on crank lambda @ 0.65
any suugestion was pretty cool

set crank lambda to 1.0 and change the cranking pw multiplier to 1 in the first column and .25 in the second column.

change the x axis first column value to the number of cylinders and the secobd column to 1 more than that.

Then go dial in fn052c the cranking load. Thats the cranking pw on newer strategies. I have it fully detailed in the fuel write up.

yes on write up you write fN052C LOAD commanded during cranking

but in my def nothing with this pid or ressemblance of load crank

Do you have some pointers for find it ? (Size of the function, maybe address on another car with MPC for compare with mine)

I have try to go with Ida pro but the dump doesn't work good on ida

What do you think about FN387X? adress on my def 186094
in my def is named: Underspeed F_A_RATIO multiplier to avoid stalls. Expanded breakpoints. Range: 0-1.98

in older def is undspd pw multiplier (crank pw)

no that function should be nulled at all 1.00s

If you cannot find FN052C to correctly command the cranking pw then you will have the use the FNCRKMIL_FAR table and hope for the best that way. Thats your only option with what you have to work with.

after long test i will find the best result on FNCRKMIL_FAR with good crank, OL startup is ok too.
now when it goes to closed loop AFR ok until 20°C ETC, between 20°C / 60°C in accel it will go in lean (lamda : 1.20)

what map use to enrich in this area?

if your fuel is dialed in then it would be transients

look for an fn1361 lost fuel phenomenon table thats scaled by load and coolant temp and throw your feed forward desired lambse value in there where needed to jump the lambses to a given value in closed loop

otherwise the ecu does not control fuel in closed loop its based entirely on the o2's switching. If its leaning out they are not controlling fuel correctly.

yes fuel is dialed all is fine when is warm

i have this 4map for FN1361, all is scalled time based instead of load; axis 0s to 60s.

if none are load based then you wont be able to

only option is to put it in open loop when cold and command your enrichment needed

ECTSTABL: MINIMUM ECT TO USE STABILIZED OPEN LOOP FUEL TABLE > set @ 65°C
HEGO_WARM: Temperature of front EGO when it can be used for closed loop fuel control > set @ 15.5°C

closed loop start @ 20°C approx, i will try increase hego warm for test

that's to allow it to be used for monitor nothing to do with open or closed loop

you need to kick up the fntcstrt function or the opclt delay timers depending on what method your strategy uses

So i test fn_tcstrt but doesn't any effect i put 10min for test and after 3min fuel status go in CL mode.

i have 5 scalars for opclt

possible that fntcstrt work with opclt?

make sure you dont have the alt function theres two fntcstrt functions
