TunerPro RT, MAF Tuning and extra datalog channels

Unread postby WhiteLX » Tue Sep 24, 2019 2:07 pm

I'm looking at making the switch from BE to TunerPro RT for my 1992 Mustang 5.0L currently using A9L2. My biggest reason is to update my PC. I'm currently using XP with BE2010 and EA (forget version). Obviously, I'd have to buy new versions of at least BE and possibly EA depending on version. At minimum I'd have to get an additional license for EA. I'd rather not have to spend $120+ for new licenses if I don't have to.

I like EA for the MAF curve tuning feature. Is there an equivalent built in to TunerPro RT or can I open TunerPro RT datalogs in EA and use as I used to? I also have Megalogviewer HD, but I'm not sure if it has MAF curve tuning (I use it for SD tuning on my 2.3 turbo). I find it works much faster for viewing data graphs on my PC vs EA.

One thing I'd like to do is add additional channels for datalogging. Currently I have a DataQ DI-148U and QH with BE on another vehicle which will be going MS2, so I'll have that extra DataQ. I would like to use the DataQ to log Boost with a 3 bar MAP and fuel pressure with a 0-5v transducer, and possibly e85 content. Is there any way to get the DataQ to communicate with TunerPro RT? I already have an LC-1 wired into EGR position.

in tunerpro i have a maf histogram. It literally shows you the maf corrections to plug in doesn't get any easier than that.

nope no dataq support for tunerpro that i know of. You can use a moates super-logger though.
