Datalogging Patch Error?

Decipha's custom GUFX strategy covers all 89-93 foxbody ecu's including the 88 mass-air california ecus.

Datalogging Patch Error?

Unread post by Justin Jones »

I tried to follow the directions on the site about enabling datalogging for the Quarterhorse. The Datalogging from the directions on the patch from search box says "(DO NOT USE) OUTDATE - Universal ADX Datalogging Patch.

What does this mean?

As in "Enable DMA Datalogging - Rev. 2020-5-12"? I typed in datalog in the search box and 4 options came up, this being one of them.

There isn't one that matches what's on the website in the picture; UNIVERSAL ADX Datalogging Patch - See Disassemby Write Up

yes that is the correct one, just over 2 years ago was the last time I updated the patch code for gufx logging. That image on there is from 5 years ago. No idea why no one has mentioned it til now but I have updated it with a new one. Thanks for letting me know.

Oh nice, thanks for getting back to me. My BIN file is written for Binary Editor. I'm guessing I need to load it through BE and then use the TunerPro to datalog? I followed all the directions for setup on the site under the Getting Started tab.

Should I attach the BIN file somewhere for you to look at to make sure it will work with the TunerPro?

BE doesn't have the custom GUFX strategy only the native GUFB GUF1 and GUFA ford strategies.

If you have an already existing tune you can copy the fuel and spark over otherwise best to just start with the a9l2 and tunepro and forget about BE completely.

Okay, well that escalated quickly. I don't know how to tune. I suppose I need to upgrade to the Custom Code Tuning option - Online/Remote tune.

If you have an existing tune just post it here and i'll take a look. No biggie to swap it over if need be.

Nice! I'm fairly sure the fuel is good and spark should be pretty good. Driveability is the concern. AND it also sounds like the A9L2 is miles above what I have. I'm just experiencing some bucking when I downshift into 2nd and let out. None when I downshift into 3rd and let out.

I'll attach it later this evening.

Thanks!

Also, where can I find an OEM/Ford/Motorcraft distributor?

I have a Cardone which I didn't want but was the only option in a pinch.

Thanks.
