Lambse commanding ultra lean

Unread post by dleach1407 »

Im sitting in CL idling watching my lambse and I dont understand why its doing what it is doing

Hego shows .04v (Lean)
Lambse keeps pulling more and more fuel until lambse is 1.20, 1.25 or more, whole time HEGO is reading ultra lean
The wideband shows ultra lean, car misfires and tries to die.

When Lambse finally starts moving the other direction, it gets to 1.03, 1.05 and then starts moving the other way, never requesting rich. The entire time, the HEGO is displaying .04v, never switching from lean. When the car is idling at 1.0 lambda, I can see the hego switching at .5v like its supposed to. This is happening when I drive too, typically low rpm, AFR gets so bad, the car acts like its in DFSO. If I floor it, car starts acting as normal until Lambe starts pulling 20+% fuel again.

Exhaust pulse hego delay is set to 22.00 for all cells
Hego amplitde is set to 0.045 in all cells

It seems we keep going round and round with odd issues that just keep plaguing my tune. I know you have recommended against starting fresh but I decided to give it a try anyway. I ended up building a new tune using the latest .bin and .adx. I basically transferred over my borderline spark table, base fuel, startup fuel, Numego, Numego port, CID, MAF settings and configured the fuel injectors using the proper method based on Kconstant. The car started right up after loading the new tune and idled fine. My laptop is dead so I need to give it a few hours to charge up and then im gonna go for a ride and see if its any better once it gets into Closed Loop.

Appears to be the same issue with the new tune. I want to validate. When you switch to a single Hego, Hego2 is the Hego that is used correct?

Edit: It looks like I may have found my problem, I believe I should be using Hego1, not Hego2?

correct

hego2 doesnt exist when you only have 1 hego

When scaling for fuel pressure changes, I know I need to change the low slope and then save. I saw the high slope and breakpoint got the same percentage change automatically. I adjusted the offset voltage but I noticed the displacement changed from 331cid to 390 cid. I am assuming I should revert the displacement back to 331?

no, the low slope doesnt change anything other than the low slope

when putting new injector info in you have to put the high slope in first.

then you can put your other info in for offset low slope breakpoint

do a compare to your existing tune (could be itself) and copy and paste the maf transfer, sarchg and all other sp** parameters

this is all covered in the fuel write up, give it a read over

Sorry I mistyped. I did the high slope first, followed by the remaining items. I put the sarchg back to 331 cid as thats what it was before i changed the injectors for the 18psi fuel pressure increase. Its running perfect on the new tune. Even the going lean after I shift problem seems to be gone. It was bouncing between .99 and 1.02 lambda while in closed loop. I think all of my problems are resolved.
