Fan not turning on with A/C

European strategy specific for 2004 ford mustang euro spec but also modified by SVT and used on the 03/04 cobra. Can be used on all 2002-2004 mustang v8 and v6 manual and automatics. Supports automatic 4r70w control. Can be used on 2001-2004 ford F-150 4.6 / 5.4 ecu's if configured correctly as well.

Fan not turning on with A/C

Unread post by ryanstout88 »

1989 Mustang with a complete 4.6 swap from an '02 Mustang GT (wiring harness, CCRM, gauge cluster, etc.).

Drivetrain was stock last year, all functioned normal and drove great.

This year I added a Paxton blower and supporting mods, using TunerPro and a Quarterhorse with an FBGI0 definition. Tune is working pretty good, but still a work in process.

Here's the issue...As the title says, neither my low nor high speed fan will turn on with the A/C. It functions normally, otherwise and with the A/C on, it'll still cycle on and off with engine temp and the compressor still kicks on and off, the fan just ignores that the A/C is turned on. This started when I installed the quarterhorse.

I have attached the file I'm using if anybody would like to take a look at it for me.

Thanks!

I’m lost on what file you need, you may need to get out the crayons LOL.

The ecu is an MDE2.

Ahhh, my bad. Honestly I never pulled the stock file out before I started the project. I just grabbed the FBGI0 and started going to town.

TunerPro is cool, but I'm still set in my HPTuners ways, haha. I'll see if I can compare em tomorrow morning and see what's up.

File uploaded.

EDIT: Wow, apparently I have a few things that I need to go through when I get a moment to sit down and compare these. I'll post if I get it fixed. I really appreciate the willingness to help, I still may need it.

Some of these tables in the stock bin look pretty messed up (borderline knock, MAF transfer, to name a couple), did something happen?

your looking at two different strategies so it not going to be show correctly

thats just a stock mde2 file

i dont see anything that would cause the fans not to work correctly

Weird. I’ll do some digging with it later tonight and if nothing else, I figured I’d wire up something like this…

Update: I have narrowed it down to a CCRM issue.

I should've ran through everything first, but figured that the last thing I added was the Quarterhorse. Thanks for looking over it for me, Decipha, it's appreciated.
