Just wanted to say thanks for all the feedback and advice for getting my car tuned and going. I took it to the dyno yesterday and I tuned it on 8lbs tapering down to 6 on 91 octane with a maximum timing of 22 degrees with the balancer set at 8. It made 505whp and 542wtq uncorrected at 6000ft elevation using a mustang hub dyno. There were some places in the curve where it still wanted more timing but I didnt want to get greedy on pump gas. The recommended correction factor yesterday was 22% but from experience and based on track numbers, half correction seems to be more on par with et/weight hp calculators and track times observed locally. With a half correction it made 560whp and 601wtq. Peak torque hits about 3800rpm and I have a nice flat torque curve from 3300 to 5500. Ive got the AFR at 11.5:1 in boost at the moment. There are a few places where the fuel drops down into the 11.3:1 but that will be easy to resolve using the KAMs. When we turned up the boost it seems like its running out of pump even though it has a 340lph so I am going to throw a new pump in it and replace the filter and regulator and then verify my AFRs are nice and safe up top. We could see the fuel pressure dropping so we called it quits until I can get it figured out.

Previous to this tune the most power it ever made was 526/570 half correction on e85 using a dyno dynamics.

I was thinking that too but I dont see how is that possible when I made almost the same amount of power on E85? E85 requires 25% more fuel to achieve the same numbers which means the entire fuel system was supporting 25% more fuel demands. Ive read a -6 can support up to 1000hp (not that i would try it). Also, the writeup says Fox fuel rails. I have 95 style which have a larger return of 5/16 instead of 1/4.

Edit: maybe im not looking at it the right way.. I did increase the engine size from a 308 to a 331 and upped my compression too but still. Is it really consuming that much more?

how do u know u made the same power did u run it at the track to verify?

return line isnt used when your maxed out so it makes no difference

if your uncertain just log fuel pressure and see

It was dynod both times it was tuned... Even with variance for atmospheric changes and differences in dyno, I dont see how I made over 500whp on e85 and then im maxed running gas at 500whp consuming 25% less fuel. That doesnt make sense to me. I dont have the ability to log fuel pressure but I was able to see the fuel pressure dropping via my AEM gauge. When i take it back to the dyno I am going to put a mechanical gauge on the rail as well to verify in multiple locations. After we discovered the issue, I changed the fuel filter and it was pretty hard to blow through so I believe it was restricted causing reduced volume. I also replaced the pump just to be safe since it is 6 years old and sat unran for 2 years in e85. Im already putting together another fuel system with a -8 feed using a new pump hat and 450lph pump with behind bars fuel rails.. Im just trying to understand your thinking and if I am truly maxed, there is no point going back to the dyno until i complete the new fuel system.
