General griping about SD tunes

Unread postby motorhead1991 » Tue Apr 02, 2019 9:14 am

We're all entitled to a bit of complaining every now and then....

This last weekend, I took my laptop and Burn2 assembly into the junkyard and copied a few binaries, 2 of which were some 2.9 SD tunes. These, along with 8TR and S0M are the first tunes of their kind that I've worked with...

I've gotta say, these are much harder to do than MAF tunes because they're not as documented! With MAF, you can use A9L to follow along and ID most things, but there aren't any posted SD tunes to do the same with .

For those interested, I grabbed:
EFI-MA35G - X0A
SMD331 - HUD0
EFI-MA44C - B002
EFI-SD24 - C9P
EFI-SD24 - 8MM

I'm getting it figured out using EFI-SD4X as a roadmap of sorts, it just takes longer

I can't believe your local junkyard even has 2.9 V6 vehicles left. The last time I saw a 2.9 Ranger in any of my local yards was 2010.
