U4P2 questions

Unread post by MyShrink66 »

I successfully set up A9L2 for the 5.0/AOD combination in the 66 but, not being smart enough to leave "well enough" alone, I've swapped to a 4R70W.

I'm using U4P2_200705.bin and CBAZA_200702.xdf.

I have all of the engine calibration copied over from the A9L2 but I'm having a bit of trouble doing the trans calibrations. I cannot find VS21PI, VS32PI or VS43PI. All other PIDs come right up but these three bring up "No Items Found".

And a couple of quick general questions: What can I expect from OBD-1 with the Moates installed? Check Engine Lite functional? These questions never occurred to me when I set up the A9L2....everything just worked but I guess I should know what to expect...just in case.

New forum looks good and, again Michael, I can't thank you enough for the things you do.

they probably aren't broken out if you can't find them

yeah the check engine light should be functional. As with any custom modified or tuned vehicle the check engine light should only come on when you have a major problem.

thanks yeah no problem

Please forgive a dumb question, I really hate being a PIA, but does that mean I need to do something to make them visible or are they something I don't need to be concerned with? I'm trying to do a basic setup per your "Transmission" write up.

that means they arent visible to you. Not a big deal as the pullins arent critical.

Well okay, but I found a few PIDs with different values than your write up suggested. I'd have to check the log to tell you exactly which ones. Or I can compare to the bin as downloaded.
