high quality window tint

Unread postby decipha » Fri Oct 18, 2013 2:22 pm

I'm looking to retint the front driver window on my ss since the support bracket put a nasty scratch in it, ill need to retint the passenger side too more than likely just so it'll match, back in the day I used to get 3m tint for cheap but I lost that connect

I'm currently looking to get a small spool maybe 20" x 25' of 15% (oem) black multi layered film

not none of that junk that'll discolor, if anyone has any recommendations and links is greatly appreciate it

You probably know but the main thing to keep it from bubbling is to make sure the window is clean before you put it on...VERY CLEAN.

I've had the same tint on my truck for ~15 years and it hasn't faded one bit, not even in the Colorado sun. I don't know the brand but I know it has aluminum in it to help it not fade. It does have a slight silver color when looked at from the side but it's not that bad and is only one of those things you notice if you think about it.

It's doesn't have that much silver color and I think it's held up great for how old the tint is - http://www.imgur.com/IXZhGva.jpeg

Gila was the good stuff way back in the day. Not even sure if they are still around. This was back in the 80's.

Still have it on my 85, though after 30ish years, it is a little discolored, maybe, now.

I don't tint anymore, but I still sell it. Only company I can still get that I know of is Suntek. Never had any complaints about it.
