Serial control of the Burn2 and Jaybird

Unread postby motorhead1991 » Thu Jun 13, 2019 12:05 pm

I've read the documentation a handful of times, so I get the gist of it, but there are a couple things I'm stuck on:

This command specifically has me stumped:
Code: Select all
'J'+'R'+n+MMSB+MSB+LSB+CS

J and R are ASCII values, obviously, but no notes are given for 'n', MSB or LSB. MMSB has a note, saying that it should be between 0 and 3, which is what 'n' is in the previous command.

Any clues, hints or tips?

afaik

J signifies its a j port type chip
R is simply a read
n is the number of bytes to read, should be 256, n must be divisible by 64
MMSB is the bank to read 0-3, 2=8, 3=9
msb 00-ff, if n is 256 msb should be 0
lsb is lsb
cs is checksum its just the sum no special funky jazz

this is my understanding someone more knowledgeable will reply im sure

I did finally figure out the checksum, after reading a lot, and trial&error. I've managed erase my F3 via serial, and get a partial read of sorts, but the Burn2 doesn't want to cooperate
