A9L fan control

Unread postby RIKIL » Sat Dec 21, 2013 11:36 am

I thought there was a post on this but I couldn't find it. What I am looking for is the wiring needed for a high-speed and low-speed fan control using an A9L tune on an A9P ECU. I read "A9L Electric Fan How to" about using pin 41 for the fan but weren't there high-speed and a low-speed pins that could be used? I thought there was so a small delay was used to not put so much draw on the alternator at once when using dual fans.

no the low spd and high spd output is designed for a single fan not dual

fual fans you just wire in parallel relays with a shared trigger

the low spd fox output doesnt seem to exist in many fox ecus so if you want 2 spd fan control you should upgrade to a CBAZA ecu

the fan wiring in on the home page under reference

Is that the only diagram on the page? I was seeing a link that want showing up, and figured there was another diagram.

So I just use pin 41 as the switched on for the relay then correct? And ground the relay to body or does it need to be ran back to 37, 57 or what, sorry not a wiring guy I can run relays and wire but that diagram has a lot going on just don't want to mess it up

D, speaking of, you once tossed out the notion of coding all the low speed logic to the high speed output. e.g ac control, isc, etc. Did that ever come about?

Cool. So basically you use all the normal low speed scalars as if it had a LS fan, but it just controls the HS output/pin? And is the HS intact just redirected to control the LS output? Or eliminated?

How does a9l2 play with be2010? I still prefer BE's full screen dashboards over Tunerpro's. Any oddities editing/view values with it? I recall peps saying now and then they'd get strange/out of range numbers for some things.

it plays perfectly fine, the n2o code sets an enumeration error for the wot spark inhibit scalar, you can just delete that scalar from your BE def file though

are you sure about the dashboards? Tunerpros full screen dash is 1000x improved as compared to BE, thats the #1 reason why i specifically recommend tunerpro to those just starting out cuz its fool proof and only takes a couple minutes to get going

Hmm.. maybe? Never tired full screen. Only have used it on the caprices. There is no canned default dashboard. You have to add each item and build/size etc each gauge or indicator. Could never fit as much as I do in BE. Would they be done already in an ads/adx?
