MAF Transfer Stand KG/Hr vs. Calc Kg/Hr

Unread postby 89gtsleeper » Sat Jan 14, 2017 12:03 pm

I'm working on my tune, and am having some issues really getting my MAF transfer and AFR dialed in. Fox mustang with A9P comp, creating a custom tune that started its life with the stock strategy.

The car came with a Pro-M 75MM Bullet calibrated for 42lb injectors. It also came with the calibration sheet. I started by using BE's MAF Fitting tool to convert from the 9pt sheet to 30 pt. At the time, I started with the Stand Kg/Hr column on the calibration sheet. But still not coming out the way it needs to. LAMBSE is reading higher than my wideband in many situations (but not all). I have dialed in preload with the blower belt off, and am getting LOADX very close to 100% WOT without boost across the entire RPM range. Injectors are some crappy chinese green tops (may need to pull the trigger on some new injectors with known specs), but an article I found on here suggested to use the FRPP42 data for 39.15psi, which is where my base pressure is set. But still, just not coming out with wideband matching what the EEC commands.

So I stumbled today across the article below. This recommends that rather than using the Stand Kg/Hr specs on the cal sheet, I should use the Calc Kg/Hr. The calc Kg/Hr is not listed on the sheet, but based on the math in the article below, I am able to calculate it base on the % Err Er/Abs. Can anybody provide advise on what is the best practice for MAF transfer? Use Stand Kg/Hr or Calc Kg/Hr?

One last question, this meter is for a cold air style inlet. But I'm using a UPR boost pipe for Vortech V-1 with a conical filter directly on the Pro-M. Thoughts on this contribution to issues?

Try it and see how it works. Regardless, you're going to have to dial your fuel in anyway so it seems to me like more work for the same end.

the stand flow is what you want

For every voltage point they use a set flow nozzle
