Idle Air at Startup

Unread postby ozcob » Mon Aug 01, 2016 9:22 pm

My first post for a while even though I have been studying the forum daily for ages!

I'm just trying to get something straight in my head with regards to FN1862 and came across the following in the Write Ups (which have been invaluable - thankyou!)

- from IDLE AIR 'The ecu looks up FN875N to determine an Idle Airmass at any given RPM and then muiltiplies that value by the ISC Multiplier Table FN1862'

- from START UP ENRICHMENT in reference to FN1862 - 'This table is a multiplier on the ISC Airmass Offset'

I ask because I am about to increase my ITHBMA to something closer to an 0.1 offset from FN875 and if the second statement is correct I think it means I will also need to increase the values in FN1862?

Thanks, Andrew

hey andrew, welcome back lol

Ithbma is subtracted from fn875 to come up with an airmass offset

the idle airmass is multiplied by the isc multiplier table fn1862 for startup air compensation

I recommend setting ithbma at 0 fn875 at 0.6 and dial in the isc multiplier table
