U4P2 and trans

Unread postby RIKIL » Thu Jun 30, 2016 10:51 am

I have the U4P2 but it is not connected to my trans. I have a separate trans controller for that.

What am seeing is my O/D cancel light will blink. Because of this I don't have control over O/D. I think this is because of pin 53, TCC, which expects an input but is not getting it. Could this be the case?

I think the ECU is seeing a problem with the trans but the trans is fine.

if the ecu isnt controlling a trans then load a manual tune on it and simply change the trload to auto non eec controlled

2 questions...from looking at T4M2, I found TRLOAD, it looks like my options are:

4 = auto, non electronic, neutral drive switch
5 = auto, non electronic, neutral pressure switch

I don't know about the switches listed, does it matter?

Second, what would I need to take from the tune you created for me and copy it to the T4M2 bin? I was just going to use TunerPro and open both tunes to copy parameters but what should I copy?

I am only guessing at the problem. When I swap in the A9L I don't get the problem with the O/D light. The other reason why I brought this up is because I had to remove my trans, it wasn't acting right and wanted to see if there was an issue here.

Can you tell me any more about the TCC, input, output???

if the trans controller is setting a fault why are you messing with the ecu?

pull the trans controller codes and see whats wrong with it

the ecu does not send out any signals, theres absolutely nothing in the ecu that can cause the trans controller to freak out

Tcc is an output, its not used since you dont have an ecu controlled auto
