03 Cobra engine Swap on GT

Hello,

We have Terminator stock Engine swap on GT with GT ECU. We notice that the MAF AD Count bouncing with 50 points gap like there is a turbulence and at accelerating from 1000 - 4000 RPM the MAF Count decreased.

What will cause the maf ad count to decrease during accelerating?

The MAF count at 4000 rpm reading 149 and at idle 250.

The car has Lighting 90mm MAF, so we have changed with the stock previous oem MAF and still same issue. We tried also to make datalog test while the engine off and switch on and logged the MAF AD Count and Volts and still same issue the maf count will decrease when you push gas pedal.

Can wiring issue cause it?

what your logging as imaf is not really imaf its something else

Usually for 99-04 Mustang's we logged the MAF AD Count and when i compare the log for this specific car with other logs like real 04 cobra and 03 GT if found that the MAF AD count for the swap engine is decreasing while the MAF AD Count for the others increasing.

So if what i am logging not really imaf what should i do in this case to the MAF properly?

there's nothing you can do if your not getting accurate information

Do you have a moates quarterhorse? It will be obvious what is wrong with it with a simple log.

In this car were using SCT x4.

Ok what should we look more into? I know that the MAF Screen will help reducing turbulance but not sure if it will help fixing the issue we're facing.

Let's think logically, if the maf ad count and maf volt reading opposite that means the 0-5v source to the MAF sensor is having issue right? Can't be a wiring issue during the engine swap from the main harness? Or shouldn't bother thinking of this way.

verify the airmass drops when the imaf drops

vehicle should try to die as you give it throttle if thats the case

Thats the only MAF count i can found under the MAF category in livelink gen2.

So, what should i log to tune the MAF? Usually i log the MAF AD count and works fine. This is the 1st time i faced issue like this.

I can't help there best bet would be to toss a quarterhorse on it and let the o2s dial the maf in.

SCT has extremely poor support for those ecu's and their datalogging is even worse.

I think I can tune it based on AFR gouge reference and how the car feels. this is my only option for now right?

If you have more than one imaf count or maf voltage payload you can select in livelink try another one.

Its impossible to dial in fuel without the imaf counts.

Here you go an update: the MAF count working fine once we try selecting another parameter :)

Now there is issue with Throttle position absolute at higher RPM it get 50% closed. How to fix the throttle issue to be fully opened at WOT in all RPMs?

As you can see from the screenshot the Green line is MAF count, Red Line is Throttle Body absolute, and Blue line is RPM.
