LHBL0 -- 94 Lightning

Unread post by 034v »

Remanned ECU..

Yanked the BIN and came up with this.

The offset is off vs. the SD4x stuff on the homepage, so I ran it thru SAD and compiled a small 160 ish something XDF. However it's missing a few goodies I cannot find.

LMK

Thanks

I'd say you have a 1996 or newer strategy.
Latest and greatest stock ford code you have there for 5.8l w/E4OD.

No definition exists publicly that I know of.

I think it is identical to LAD1.

Double check the strategy with the ALT0 cal. It may be one of the cals that share that strategy.

I looked at the injector slope and thats not for a lightning its for a 351w non lightning.

Yeah its identical to LAD1 except for some minor transmission adjustments.

Yea shows A0 at like 18 lbs/hr

From what I've gathered on the minor disassembly I've done, it's a work truck non GT40 351 ECU.

Thanks

Looks like calibration data is in the same location as ALT0.
Isn't ALT0 for 460ci?

Is there an adx/xdf for ALT0 on efidynotuning?

Yes, it is the ALT0 binary. It is the 1995 CAL and all set for the 7.5L.

I have created 2 XDF's. One for the remanufactured offset and one for the -2000. They both work.

Now I'm creating a base Lightning tune to start from so this guy can get his truck running right. Once done, I'll dial-in all the stuff he needs.

No wonder his truck was a turd. 3600 WOT 12 shift and VE stuff all wrong.

A1C didn't line up. The ecu I read has an offset at 8192/2000.

Nothing I had would line up at all. The binary I posted, I removed the first 8192 byte from it.

I didn't think burning the chip starting at 0 would work if the structure is starting at 2000.

But it didn't.

A1C_200702 from here does not show meaningful stuff when using this binary. Literally 2177 byte off from each other with where anything is that is considered tuneable.

So, I made two versions of my own that works with this particular BIN, for this particular truck.

Now, if I take the LHBL0 with the padded first 8192 byte (which is what the ECU has spit out), it will not load with other tuning software I have. If I take the first 8192 out, it works. Since my customer doesn't use the software, and he in no way will be able to convert your A1C himself, I took it out of the equation and made 2 versions for him that he can use.

Make sense?
