Idle spark source changing at fast rate whilst idling

Unread postby ozcob » Sat Oct 14, 2017 2:17 am

Using T4M2 calibration I have just noticed my idle spark source varies from source 2 (borderline) to source 9 (idle feedback) at a very fast rate whilst at idle.
Looking at a log it might show source 2 for three datalog lines then source 9 for four datalog lines then back to source 2 etc etc. - so very quick transitions.
From what I have read it should use idle feedback whilst the throttle is closed so what might be causing this?

make sure you don't have any jitter in your tps signal by watching tprel, it should stay constant at 0, if it fluctuates a touch you might need to kick up Delta - PT Threshold to get it to stay reporting closed throttle

if it jitters too much it could be a bad tps

and make sure the closed throttle voltage doesn't exceed RATIV otherwise that will force part throttle too
