2001 v6 turbo tuning

I was looking at the WOT/stabilized fuel table and I know that changing the lambda values will not adjust fueling needs. I have a turbocharged 3.8L only have 4psi for time being until I get this car sorted out. Question is the I know to richin or lean out I adjust the injector slopes.

In the table it shows x/y axis throttle position voltage and RPM.

Would i fill the first row with 0.0750 and just increase from top row to bottom ending up at 14.1???

I have a kamrf 1 of 1.00 but Kamrf 2 is .004 for some odd reason. Also battery voltage is not registering correctly under the universal adx.

I attached the tune.

I started to change commanded lambse in the Wot/stabilized table. Have a wideband installed and will adjust slopes to dial it in/ Not sure if correct, havent had a chance to get to the car with the snow this week.

fn1360b is used for enrichment on a stock fbfg2 tune, in your tune you had the perload hack enabled but not the force perload hack enabled, thus the ecu wasn't correctly controlling fuel as I intended it to, those hacks are to be used together as per the comments

here I disabled the perload hack and set your fn1360b fuel table back to sane values, go ahead and dial her on in, it looks like you hadn't entered in your maf or injector info yet

Thanks decipha, I am trying to beat this stuff into my head and getting familiar with the software. I have a stock maf and 21lb injectors.
Does your MAF doubler act like an extender/mafia of sorts??

nope, a mafia is a voltage range extender letting the maf measure more airflow, the maf doubler just allows you to enter in a higher maf flow so you don' t have to scale the tune if you have a maf that flows more than 1750 kg/hr

all the details are in the maf and scaling write ups, give them a read good stuff in both

Question, I have a stock 2001 v6 maf in a 3inch tune would this effect the tranfer data to,be plugged,into the table?.

I was under the impression it would effect the range by making it greater.

Also I cannot find the maf xfer data for this car anyone point,me to where I can find it.

yes a new meter will cause the maf transfer to change

I am noticing that some parameters in my datalog aren't recording they stay at a constant value i.e. vbat, atmr and tps counts. What has to be done to get these to log.

Another thing I have noticed is sct uses load in the y axis of the stabilzed fuel tables and tuner pro uses tprel? What's the advantage or disadvantage of using tprel?

Is adding those parameters in the diassembly write up?

sct and tunerpro just shows the tune data, the axis scaling is done by the strategy unless someone changes it manually

I am still getting automatic transmission codes, I look through the scalars and turned some of them off. There are a few that I cannot find to turn off. I did the auto trans sw to 0 also the trload strat to 0. This is a manual trans car.

theres a bunch of auto switches for different checks that should be changed when going from an auto to manual or vice versa

best bet would be to use an rkn2 cal and modify it as you need since its already a manual cal so all the auto switches are disabled

fill out a vehicle info sheet from the homepage and copy and post the text in a reply here, omit the top personal details as thats for sending chips in the mail

ill go through it and post a file so you can get started

how does the car run? does it seem like its only running on a few cylinders? if so you may need to run a cvaf1 based tune due to the difference in the bidi mapping

here load this in and give it a go, set the mafia to stock or remove it to verify it runs correctly first

Car spun a rod bearing last month. Just picked up a 4.2 out of an f150. Most likely going to reach out to have you tune it. Once I get it all back together.

well i got the new motor in loaded previous tune which would idle and was close when driving. Now loaded with the new motor and she wont stay idling. She is very sporatic and then she will putter out.

New motor is a 4.2 f-150 motor.
New injectors are 39lb cobra blue's
Maf is stock but placed in a 3" pipe

Anychance you can send me a base tune to atleast keep her idling long enough so she gets up to temp. Would be appreciated.

if you have a new maf you need to put the new maf transfer in, if its in a bigger pipe now go kick up the maf transfer by 15% or so for starters and then dial it on in

looked up injector data for the 30lb cobras didn't see the pulse width for them. Also what about the DeltaP tables for high low and breakpoint do those need to be updated or leave them be.

i have no idea what you mean by the pulsewidths for them?

you said 39lb cobra injectors which are 03/04 cobra, im not aware of any cobra 30s other than maybe the cobra r's

yes the deltap multipliers need to be updated

sorry that 30 was a typo is was refering to the the 39lb cobras. The Minimum pulse width entry under the injector parameters. I didn't see a value for that under the reference tab. I did a little digging and found some info will load it up and see how she runs.

I did get her to idle steady put had to lower the injector low slope all the way down to 17. So i am guessing them my MAF xfer is off then correct?

you need to put accurate injector info in first but yea if it persists then the maf is off a tad

Ok well I have the car idling ok on cold engine. Little bit of surging but stays running. But once I shut the engine off and start her back up when warm, she is not happy. Afr will go way rich down to 10:1 and she will sputter and stall out. Tried changing maf flow at this MAFV but to no avail still the same result. Also tried messing with the warm stabilized fuel table and that did nothing as well. I will attach a log and my tune for someone to view any help would be appreciated.

if it's going to the tens why are you changing the maf if you already have it adjusted ?

is it going rich ?

Because it was going to rich so I reduced flow at those mafv parameters to keep it running

but if you already had that area dialed in then the maf isn't the problem

are you sure it was going rich? what was the fuel error

ok, I got the car back together with the new motor threw a tune from the 3.8 in there with a few tweaks and it idles now, not great but ok. When I apply the gas pedal she bogs and stalls.

Car has 39lb injectors with a 255 returnless pump
stock MAF in a 3inch tube
stock motor.

cold start first minute of log she wouldnt start kicked up the Airflow for that MAF voltage and she stayed running.

I have attached the following log of idle and going through the maf point up to 300 which is about 2000rpm. It was running lean on the wideband so i didn't want to go any further. Also attached the tune that I am working from.
