4R70W Overdrive switch

Unread postby TonyPDX » Mon Sep 19, 2016 8:52 pm

I am trying to wire the O/D lockout switch on my 4R70W without the Transmission Control Switch Module.

From all that I have read I can apply a momentary 12V signal to PIN 41 to switch the OD lockout on/off. Is this true?

I Read a discussion about making your own transmission control switch module (F4ZF-7E453-AA) so that the OD indicator lamp can be functional. I would like to make the light functional so I know the status and could get trouble codes for the transmission from the light. Do you have any information on this?

Thank you for your help and time.

Regards, Tony

without using the stock module you can enable the tcs switch in the tune and use the tcil output, it works fine on a V6, i did it on my 91 supercoupe, but with a v8 those pins are reassigned so you'll loose those pins

the pin out is on the homepage, look and see

easiest to just use the module on a v8
