QUARTERHORSE

I just bought a Quarterhorse for my TBird TC and by reading here and else where I might have gone over my head. I am a mechanic and I used to tune my old 5.0 Mustang with a Haltech F9 but i do not get the terminology used for this quarterhorse at all. I want to change to Speed Density or MAF but i'm not sure I understand how this 1/4horse works. I am lost.... :(

The learning curve is steep but is still manageable. Let's start off with some information:
- car year
- equipped ECM

Thanks a lot. Let me tell all - 85 TC with 86 SVO cam, have LA3 and big VAM not yet installed, FMIC, brown tops, manual boost controller, wide band, E6, 3 inch complete exhaust(no tailpipe). I am still putting back together as i am restoring it.

what are brown tops the stock injectors? the SVO ecus use low impedance injectors unlike all other fords

Yup, stock for the LA3, 35lb/hr
