New Home A/C System Suggestions / Advice / Tips

Unread postby decipha » Sat Aug 10, 2019 7:09 pm

Well I'm looking to replace the ac system in my house in the next couple years. Currently I have a 5 ton R-22 unit. I'll be looking to replace it with a 5 ton R-410 unit.

My house is 3 phase so I'd like to keep it that way since its less stuff to fail.

For $1,550 I found a Daikin Unit: https://www.budgetheating.com/5-ton-Dai ... 172044.htm

Unit has good reviews https://daikincomfort.com/products/heat ... ers/dx13sa
I like the idea of quietness

For $3,220 This ebay link pairs is with the Goodman ARUF60D14 Air handler. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Daikin-GOODMAN ... 1144858542

The air handler has been discontinued and isn't a furnace.

Anywho just thought I'd get a head start on the search. If any hvac pros are on the forum i'd really appreciate any input you might have.

Daikin and Mitsubishi do the best DX plant in the industry. Daikin should have a matching evap unit for it.
