question

my uncle just called me with a general question about a vehicle he’s working on,
the number one piston “melted” with the roots style supercharger! the vehicle is a “government” vehicle and the only code they have is a code 300 (not sure what that means) anywho, the company that installed it on said no way that could happen with only 7000km’s on her!
would it be lack of fuel to melt a piston?
the program they installed afterwards dont think its been tuned at all, just installed and they hoped for the best?
thoughts? not much info on it since its yah know, government

p0300 is a random cylinder misfire

yes a melted piston is usually from insufficient fuel to cool the cylinder

impossible to know without more details but most likely that cylinder gave it up cuz it was too lean. Doesn't mean the tune is to fault could be as simple as a sticking injector or a weak fuel pump.
