Maf recommendations?

Unread postby kx250pilot » Sat Jul 07, 2018 3:54 pm

I'm can't decide which MAF sensor to use for my build. It's a 94 cobra, basically stock engine with Anderson b-21 camshaft and an on3 kit. What maf would you use?

Just ordered the hpx e in a 3" tube. I looked on your reference chart and see hpx, but this wouldn't work for the hpx e, right?

My apologies for the thread jacking.
Is there a draw through MAF that you would recommend? I don’t have the space for a blow through using a Vortech kit.

Vortech’s kit puts the MAF and filter in the fenderwell. Will the hpx-e work there, or will it need to be relocated? Is it plug and play (other than tuning) or is there something hardware wise that needs to be done to use a blow through as a draw though application?
If I were to switch to 42# injectors and the hpx-e at home would I be able to drive it to the dyno or would I have to have a trailer?

no blow through and draw through makes no difference to any maf sensor itself, all the maf does is measure the air coming across it cooling the element

anytime you switch injectors or maf you have to retune

best bet would be to get a quarterhorse and work all the bugs out before taking it to get dyno'd, not only is it cheaper and saves you any diagnostics fees but it makes the tuners job easier and gives you control of the tune
