I just got my Quarterhorse a few days ago after Decipha talk me into getting it and trying to tune it myself with Tunerpro Rt. I've read thru most of the write ups and made the changes needed to the A9L2 tune for my setup and would like to get a second opinion on it and know if everything looks good before I upload it to the QH and start datalogging. The MAF transfer I used was from using the PMAS HPX transfer tool.

I tried to start the car per the write up to datalog it but couldn't fire it up. I even tried the HOLD THE THROTTLE TO FLOOR == WOT to enable flood-clear mode. Need some HELP. Maybe there's something wrong in my tune.

car should still fire up even on a corrupt tune

most likely your throttle stop isnt set right causing it to choke

hold it at 1/8th throttle while cranking

was the datalogging working?

Hardware was found, fuel pump prime for 3 seconds and shut off. Software seem like it was communicating with the QH since it display a few parameters. Would it matter if I try it on a warm engine or does it have to be fully cold?

Ok i manage to fire it up. The problem was in my calculation of the crank pulse width. I then was able to set the IPSIBR as close as possible to zero. I've included the datalog here:

After replaying the datalog, the wbo2 is too lean. Do i need to be concern, and does my spark table look ok for an automatic transmission before I proceed with the next step? I used the same bin file as posted up top^^

did you verify the wideband is accurate?

Are you saying its too lean at WOT ?

ignition timing is based upon combustion chamber it has nothing to do with the transmission???

Wideband is accurate

AFR is in the upper 17 sometimes 18 at idle warmed up

I take it shes in open loop at idle then?

You cant be too lean below half throttle, worse case it just misfires, it cant hurt anything

have u tried adding fuel to it

I think its already in close loop since the o2 readings are jumping up and down. The fuel error is 1.5%. No, the injector low slope is at 63.19 like the specs. How would I calculate the fuel error out of the injector slope?

o2 readings are going to jump around regardless

were the lambses jumping around?

you cannot calculate the fuel error by the slope you need to calculate it at each mafv

if you have siemens deka 60lb injectors then leave the injector data alone, the deka 60s are one of the most accurate injectors ever created

I think i got the mafv dial in and did a half throttle datalog. Would like to know if it looks good so far? I still need to dial it in for more boost. Bump down the timing to be on the safe side while dialing it in.

From 3v and up the fuel error on the gauge went to 1.243%. I'm thinking is because it went into open loop so i used the formula(LAMBDA-LAMBSE+KAMRF) to find the fuel error up top and used 14.079 AFR to convert my wideband into lambda.

Down low it goes lean and up high or in the middle it goes rich. The current value for AEM is .500, should I move it to 1.5 or how high?

i've gone ahead and change the aem scalar to 1.5, it respond a little better but still doing it.

Need some help on understanding AEFUEL & EFTRFF and how to make changes. I'm guessing AEFUEL is for acccel enrichment and EFTRFF is for transient fuel. Been having some lean and rich spikes occurring when i accelerate quick.

that is correct

for accel enrichment the two biggest contributors are going to be the AEM - global accel enrichment scalar and the Accel Enrichment Table Fn1303

for transient accel METRA - transient accel multiplier, and MEFTRD - transient decel multiplier

all of the above are found under the Tuning >> fuel >> transient submenu
