here is what i got , i know i'm obviously going to have to tune things but can you go over this just to make sure its good? I scaled airflow by 1.226

its a 2003 mustang 4.6L auto, turbo, sct ba5000 maf 2.5" tube, 80lb ford injectors everything else is stock including rear end.

you didn't update the most important variable in the ecu, XTALHPS the clock speed
you didn't half ass the pct_load table

i gotta run i'll check it out more later

using fbfg2.

I scaled airflow by 1.226

its a 2003 mustang 4.6L auto, turbo, sct ba5000 maf 2.5" tube, 80lb ford injectors everything else is stock including rear end.

I dont have those scalars in the def by thwir actual names, no worries tho they are already set correctly.

observations
you didn't disable hego 2
no vin or pats code
you corrupted the maf curve by putting the top value as 5 volts instead of maximum
you didn't scale the injector breakpoint
the mew1 ecu has a 3.0 clock

all of the tvpmin scslp and scint scalars are in there, go to the search and type them in they will pop up, they are already setup in the sym3 cal

the ones above i hadn't added in, if they exist i changed them in the base tunes though

you are aware the fbfg2 write up ONLY applies to the base tunes correct? the stock tunes require a lot of work to get them up to my standard

here's the sym3 adjusted for you, copy out your stock tune and just copy over your vin and pats code, re-enable pats and begin tuning from there

Thanks , which ones are the base tunes, I downloaded the package from your post I thought they were all base tunes , sorry went and looked at your post for fbfg2 and its says write there, that you haven't released base tunes , sorry missed that

nope those are all stock tunes, the base tunes i only had posted for a few days until i deleted them cuz I've shifted my focus to another strat instead of fbfg2, i still have some work to do though before its ready to take over the world

Ok great, Thanks for the help, ive tuned Honda ecus and a few stand alones but this eec is another level, thanks so much I've read over all your write ups 2-3 times and will read again. Thanks for all the work you do the write ups alone must have taken a long time. I can apreatiate that.

I'm sure it did, I didn't do them all at once though they were brought up as needed and evolved over the years

I appreciate the sentiment

the Ford ecu is quite different than what you might expect coming from hondata or the like, the ford's require you have some more in depth knowledge of controls since it's aimed more toward the engineers that calibrate them from the factory

do i need to scale airflow? and add my maf flow #s for my sct ba5000 maf?

the maf flow in this base tune is higher then allowed?
from what i read in your scaling write up
"If you have a MAF that flows over 1,750 kg/hr for EEC-V or 2,350 kg/hr for EEC-IV you will have to scale airflow"

Also base fuel table is fn1360b?

base spark is bdl knock fn2200?

sorry for the new guy questions the write ups seem like they were probably written for different bins just verifying the terms

no i already put it in there, the maf doubler is enabled so no scaling needed and that raises the max maf flow to 1750*2=3500 kg/hr

the base fuel table is the enrichment table, I have it disabled with all 0s

fn1360b is the wot multiplier, until you get fn035 dialed in its best you use that instead

bdl knock is the spark table

ok just to confirm the maf (since im not 100% on how the doubler works)

the max flow on the current inputted values is 2999.201
but the max flow of the HPX High Flow Slot 2.5" - PMAS is 1840.22
the new flow numbers because of my previously scaled transfer numbers?

the doubler just doubles the maximum range of the maf transfer

it could be off, i took a 3" hpx maf i tuned and just multiplied by .86 to approximate for a 2.5" pipe, you can either leave it as is or toss the other transfer in, you'll be tuning it regardless so either way it'll have to be dialed in

back from the dead , project took longer than i thought

the turbo piping is 3" so i added 1.16

heres my issue fuel pumps are not coming on its a returnless system i checked and i think its patched correctly.

care ran a few days ago no issue before i installed maf, injectors and quareterhorse

I see, thats the same 5-25-2016 tune with yours pats code and vin number added in, progress is progress though

pump type 3 returnless is enabled in the tune so it should control the pump fine, not to mention you said it worked fine the other day, if nothing changed then your fuel pump is suspect

one thing worth noting, your injectors slopes are clipped so you'll have to scale it back regardless

Also I just posted a base auto tune for fbgi0 just yesterday that I use for all the 02-04 mustangs i tune now, would be best to use that, if you want I can copy your pertinents over for you and post your tune back for fbgi0 or you can continue with fbfg2 up to you, regardless its not the tunes fault the pumps aren't coming on

Odd I didn't change the injector slopes at all,
Other then the vin and pats
I changed the maf upped it by 1.16
If you could that would be great then I can use the new universal datalogging

But I've filled out a form I'm not sure I want to spend the time at this point tuning I may just get you to do it.

Not the pumps I have a triple pump setup and I can manually get them to turn on

fp_driver is set correctly at 0 in your tune

it is returnless correct?

with a triple pump how do you have the fpdm's hooked up?

Zone 5 mdm controller

Yes it's returnless

Ran on the stock computer no issues now the pumps aren't coming on

Odd looked it over I guess I didn't save the changes to the maf

only issue would be if your pats code didn't copy over and its setting an anti theft fault, is the theft light flashing with the key on?

set the pats disable sw and write the tune then turn the key on and see if it works correctly

theres nothing in that tune that would disable the fuel pumps

Initially it was but then I set the pats switch and the light stopped flashing I'll check it again tomorrow

What do I set the pats disabled switch to? ok answered my own question , but if i disable pats with =1 would i need to fill in the pats code with ff's ? or i can leave it?

ok now im not sure whats going on

tried to upload original you sent me then theft light flashed and fans came on and dashboard was -----------

now anything i upload does the same event the same bin as before

if u disable pats then the pats code can be anything as it wont get used

sounds like a communication issue, read the stock tune out and write it to the qh and see if it acts right

ok so theft light goes out and mileage shows up now , but fuel pumps still not coming on

with stock tune in

remove the qh and verify if the pump comes on without the QH in there, if it does then that means the QH is not getting a good connection

attached fbgi0 startup tune after you get it worked out

no reason at all why it shouldn't fire up and run fine with this loaded once you get the pump situated

attached adx for it as well

ok so update, this is for anyone else that has this issue on sn95 or eec-v. i removed the pcm found the quarterhorse was dislodged do not force the computer back up as there is a plastic bracket that wont let it go all the way in. just let it sit there.

no the xdf doesnt matter but youll need tjhe fbgi0 xdf to edit it, no need tho u can write it and it shud fire up, logging is already enabled in it

fbgi0 xdf is on homepage

I got your email, no tuning doesn't stop til its dialed in. Once you become a premium member youll see some of those guys I tuned over 10 years ago and they'll pop in with a datalog or a ? from time to time.
