ECU harness

Used only on the 03/04 Marauder but can be used on any 03/04 ecu with code changes. Uses newer style SCP array so will not control cluster correctly on 2004 and older fords that use the older style SCP array such as mustangs.

ECU harness

Unread post by dleach1407 »

Looks like you built a new board and all of my old information is gone so I need to ask some questions. Today, I went down to the local Upull it yard to get a harness. I believe you said a harness from a 01-03 f150 or similar vehicle can be used with the luxury ECU. When I started pulling the harness I determined the ECU harness has the fuse box and a bunch of other stuff included in the harness. Is there an ecu harness that I can use that doesnt have the whole engine bay harness as part of the ecu harness or do I need to pull the complete harness?

I already have a luxury car ecu harness. I don't think there is an advantage going with one over the other in that case. Either way I'm cutting up a stock harness. Do you agree?

Forgot to mention i did grab the trans harness from an f150

Right, but I'll have to do that in either case, right?

Is the harness for the F100? If so, what engine?

Yes. 302 sbf from an explorer with a 4r70w converted from awd to rwd. It will eventually be twin turbo. I'm using an edelbrock carb style throttle body and high rise intake manifold to keep that old school look

Sounds Killer! Are you running the factory coil on plugs that were used with the luxury/f150 harness? Mind posting a pic when you have it running? thx

It's gonna be a while. I'm doing a complete rewire using modern 21 circuit harness, fbss airbag kit, monster C notch and mustang 2 front suspension. The C notch and mustang 2 conversion are done. I do plan on keeping it coil on plug. Luckily the explorer engine has a crank and cam sensor so it shouldn't be too hard to get it working with the luxury ECU.
