Unread postby g3mustang » Tue Aug 19, 2014 2:33 pm

351 build turbo.
so for a fox what are some of your guys fuel setups to run e85
Id like to run an intank pump or pumps if possible. if i have to run an external pump do i have to sump it.

does anyone ever upgrade the wire to the pump?

8 an feed and 6an return. is what i have now.

will 80's be enough or should i go bigger?

i think what i got out of it is to be safe i should run a 96lb injector with e85 and people sugest an areomotive 320 pump should be fine in tank.but i dont like the flow over 55 psi unless you have any other recommendations on pumps.

what sucks is after 80lb injectors its hard to find the new style you recomend i want. I feel like i will so close on the edge that i should just bump the fuel pressure to 50-55?

this is going to be my winter project im pulling my old 331 and going 351

you should always have a sump to prevent starving, even on stock assemblies I always drill holes to prevent slosh and running lean

youll need to upgrade the wiring, use the existing pump wire as the on lead for a relay and run a dedicated fused 60 amp is fine 8ga minimum from the alternator post

you never want just enough injector to get by, you always want a little headroom

I was referring to drilling holes in the stock pump mount housing

yes just use the pump wire to trigger a relay

check the bosch injectors

simple

reduce stoich_afr "z_afr" to e85, shoot mbt timing to it, kick up the crank pw by 25% and drop the 90+ load lambses (top 3 rows) by 0.05 lambda

/done

All the 96 lb injectors are around 800 why? How big is too big for a 700hp turbo e85 car. I feel I can g wet bigger injectors for cheaper

THis was before we had Z-fuel, i used the injector slopes, to adjust for E85

I ran 55# injectors on a 347 with 12 psi at 55 base fuel pressure. duty cycle was low 90's at full song on the race track. I also had a "New Volt" (like a boost-a-pump) capacitative discharge box on the fuel pump, A1000, I used a hobs switch set at 5 psi to dump the cap and 17.5 volts on the pump at 5+psi. I also had a dry shot, about 125, of nitrous I sprayed on the transbrake, but i never logged it, to see where the duty cycle was. I knew i was out of injector, and the customer didn't want to buy new injectors, but wanted to step it up, so I added a second wet stage, with dedicated pump and regulator, and hit it with another 200.
