Re: 95 Cobra - Procharger FIC775 90mm Cobra MAF

For sure! I live just on the other side of the 90 from Lancaster speedway. The market for them has changed so I feel lucky I bought mine when I did, you dont see many clean ones around here anymore.

Im sure with your experience you will have little to no troubles and if you do Decipha's write-ups are great, its really cool all the time hes put into offering up that knowledge to the masses right along with the base tunes.

Place I called is in Batavia. A buddy of mine has gotten into the local drag racing scene pretty heavily and uses him and had great things to say. He wasnt a jerk by any means and I was still considering going there just never got around to it. I sold parts to an older guy(named victor I believe) with an early to mid 2000's red mustang that he brought to you. I remember him saying how happy he was with your tune compared to what he got from the guys in Tonawanda.

I would for sure be interested in coming in if we could figure out a time that works. I mainly just want to get the dyno shop experience and see what an experienced guy like yourself would think of my ride since I built and put it all together myself. The power numbers would be nice too, just to know and also be able to answer everyone's first question when they check out the car lol. You can send me a PM on here whenever you slow down if you want I check in here frequently.

Re: 95 Cobra - Procharger FIC775 90mm Cobra MAF

Welcome nice to see someone local to me on here!

I am far from an experience tuner but got my fox turbo dialed in nicely using all of Decipha's files and help along the way. From what you have posted it looks like you are on the right track. If the car has 80 lb siemens deka injectors Decipha has a patch that you can enable to auto fill all of the published parameters, if the injectors are different disregard.

The ad counts for the MAF transfer dont match Deciphas histogram perfectly but may be close enough not to matter. You could edit the histogram to match but it would probably be easier to change the ad counts to 25 increments to match the histo.

Good luck and hopefully others will chime in if needed. Also nice to see a shop willing to tune "old school" if you will. I called another local shop just about getting on his dyno to get some numbers and maybe make some tweaks to see if I could find any gains. He may have misunderstood and thought I wanted his tuning help but when I told him I had a power adder with the stock computer the noises he made over the phone showed his disapproval lol.

Re: Controlling lambse on decel

Yea the indicator will switch.

I would try increasing the load a bit next time to see if it will go into OL.

Re: Controlling lambse on decel

Did you see the load drop to below .16? Did you try increasing to a higher load?

Re: Controlling lambse on decel

No problem man Im glad to try to help

Yes thats exactly correct. Thats where I end up confused about leaving it in CL.

I have not enabled DFSO either and not sure if there is any indication if its actually doing that or not but the way it behaves seems like it is. I am also very happy with the A9L2 settings and even more-so now since enabling fn338.

Yep that looks very close to how mine is setup so it should be pretty easy for you to get it dialed in. Good luck with it and come back to let us know how you make out.

Re: Controlling lambse on decel

no my WB almost always goes full lean on decel which I think is DFSO

.17 is the load where it will go in and come out of OL. When I originally set it to .14 like Decipha suggested I had a few instances where it wouldnt go in OL on decel. I then changed it to .2 and it would go into OL easily on decel but then I had a few times where when I got back on the pedal in a real light cruising state and the load didnt get high enough to kick it back into CL which made me finally land in the middle at .17.

Go to an earlier post in this thread where I posted a screen grab of fn338 to see how I have it setup. I essentially have it set to .17 load at all rpms so anytime I decel in pops into OL

Re: Controlling lambse on decel

No I have not gone back since enabling fn338. I can decel and downshift as much and as long as I want and once I’m back on the gas pedal it’s right back to stoich every time. No more dipping rpm’s and surging either.
Before doing that I changed the whole right side of the fn1035 table to as low as .5 and it seemed to make no noticeable change.

Re: Controlling lambse on decel

just to follow up on my end I did go double check and as expected the patch for this has always been enabled, I am using the most up to date files. After enabling fn338 I have been very happy with how it decels in OL that I have not tried to mess with it again.

Like canuck just said above my injectors almost shut off on decel so the WB goes lean and lambses ramp rich. Is the goal to try to maintain stoich on decel? If so I was going the wrong direction with the airmass correction table as my focus was trying to correct after the decel

Re: fn1036b - inferred load

ok cool this makes more sense. I checked out that histogram before but was thinking the values were multipliers so it still didnt seem right

ill get it adjusted even though ill hopefully never need it lol
