Re: Larger cam good drivability
My guess is you need to work on dashpot preposition and decay rate in those areas or possibly reduce timing in those areas or both

You use the 99-01 cam syncro and crank sensors if using the 03/04 crown vic ecu.ATPCR wrote: ↑2023 Apr 23, 21:55 I assume that you are using the Explorer camshaft position sensor. Are you using the two wire or 3 wire? Do you have a spare '03-'04 Ford full size PCM that you would sell reasonable? I have all of the topside engine part of my '99 Crown Vic harness removed and still have to get the transmission and O2 wiring (and anything that I may have overlooked) disconnected. I purchased a 1999 Crown Vic wiring book for reference. Glad to hear that you got it fired up.

What crank trigger did you end up using? Are you using the sn95/explorer timing cover?

Re: Couple questions
im not even sure what I would need honestly. Changing the amplitude didnt seem to make any change in the idle quality. The very minor surging and erratic AFR at idle is still there. While driving, the AFR swings are very minor. I see 14.5 to about 15.3 for the normal swings while cruising. Not really sure what would cause it. Any idea why it would happen. Target idle is 720 and its bouncing between mid 600s and mid 800s when its seeing the largest AFR swings. Timing isnt jumping around around much. I see a degree or 2 variance but not huge swings. the ISC duty cycle isnt fluctuating either when its happening. Lambse is only changing from .98 to about 1.02 back and forth quickly. Im not seeing anything in the logs that would explain why i see such a huge AFR swing at idle only. Histograms show the the fueling is pretty consistent below and above the idle range in the maf.

Re: Couple questions
Ok.. ill change it back. It came that way from you in the base tune you sent me a few months back. I am not able to find a fn8x10. I searched for 8x10 and there are a few items that come up but they are things like the MBT table and a couple fuel tables. Those say in the description something about old strats haveing 8x10 and new having 6x6.
