Re: Fuel Rails - 351w angled injectors

Nothing wrong with using what works. You are likely the only one who'll notice it.

if break point is a single value, why the table?

I know I'll probably regret asking this question but sometimes my curiousity gets the best of me. Why does TunerPro list break point as a single value eight times alongside only 2 voltage constraints (all 0's until finally reaching 16v).

There, I've done it. Just curious!

Re: Fuel Rails - 351w angled injectors

Unfortunately it was LeJeune Performance that did it for me circa 2006. I think they're closed now? I don't think it can be that tough though, I had mine back next day. Cost me about $80 for the labour.

If your intake is convential 351w, can't you just select one of the aftermarket brands/styles that you like?

I was starting from scratch, as I bought an old Pro-Flo intake manifold without rails, and had to come up with something that would fit the injectors and bolt up to the fixtures on the manifold.

Re: Fuel Rails - 351w angled injectors

You can buy blank rails, essentially at a 'by the foot' price, then have a decent shop machine them to your required fit. That's what I did. They would need your manifold though.

Re: computer not controlling timing

Thanks. Is there a chance I’ve enabled/disabled advance/retard (computer control) in my BIN inadvertently?

What is the purpose of the flag ‘Allow spout test” etc.?

computer not controlling timing

I have fired my car back up after replacing distributor pickup/Hall effect sensor AND TFI module. Checked spark and coil control, everything appeared OK. Starts and runs fine but SAFTOT is displaying a single value kind of like if the spout were disconnected (it seems stuck on 14 dbtc). The spout connector seems OK, any idea what this points to? Maybe an issue with my logging setup in the latest TunerPro RT?

Re: 351C Multiport EFI conversion help needed

I bought mine (along with the MAF) from Chris Richards (ex Quality Roadsters, Mass-Flo-EFI, last heard from as owner of Pro-M Racing):

Pro-M Racing, LLC.
77 Snow Road
West Brookfield, MA 01585

It's probably not that complicated a component(?), although the early style (encased in a small, rectangular housing) were susceptible to heat. Give Chris a try? I guarantee he'll try and sell you his latest and greatest speed density engine management system, but he might help you out with an f to V converter?

P.S. nothing he sells is CHEAP. Smart guy though.

Re: 351C Multiport EFI conversion help needed

Here's what my 351w based motor looks like:
cobra air cleaner 2020 (reduced).jpg
inside air cleaner 2020 (reduced).jpg
Mine's not actually one of the now defunct Mass-Flo-Efi systems but originally an Edelbrock Pro-Flo II system, converted to mass air with the modified GM MAF and the secret ingredient (frequency to voltage converter) to make the signal Ford EFI compatible.

I have a soft spot for Clevelands, having built a few for stock car racing in the eighties, but their advantages then have been overcome by technology and availability of Windsor style components. I just don't think they are worth the extra cost, time and fitment issues. If you want to, go for it!

Re: perload switch A9L2 ?

Thanks. I have read the fuel write up (last couple of years) but don’t retain it well enough by the time I get back to work on the car. I’ll review it again. Thanks for the reminder about where to find the info.

perload switch A9L2 ?

I've been away from this for a while and can't remember if I'm using the correct perload switch setting in A9L2 (see image):
perload switch.jpg
the parameter comments say

"PRLDSW - used for determining the value of load%.

Set for load% = load
Clear for load % = load/peak load
"

Does 'set for load% = load" mean check the box beside the word 'Set', then hit 'save'?
I know this is a question I've read here before, but searching doesn't yield the results to my question.

I checked all my old tunes and it appears I've never checked the box. I don't remember why I left it that way and can't find any answers searching!?

Thanks for helping me confirm I've got it set correctly.
