Re: Controlling lambse on decel

Any other suggestions for me on this? I even opened up last years xdf and didn’t find fn1052 in there either?

Re: Controlling lambse on decel

Ok I’ll search for it again and report back. Do you know what it’s under in the parameter tree? I just used ctrl f to search for it last time

Re: Controlling lambse on decel

well I feel a little dumb because the maf backflow correction isnt actually doing anything to help as much as I initially thought it did. fn1052 doesnt exist in this strat and searching decel and wot airmass correction didnt net me any results either.

any other suggestions for me to try? I was on it a bit the other day and went into a decel and when i stopped the rpms dropped she started to surge and finally the rpms kicked up to about 2k and took quite a long time to come down.

Re: Controlling lambse on decel

Thanks man ended up finding it under fn1035 maf backflow correction.
Made a big difference with the two issues above and I notice that decel even sounds different now

Controlling lambse on decel

Wondering if there is a way to prevent or slow down the lambses ramp rich on decel. The longer the decel the richer the WB will read coming out of decel and the longer it takes to get back to stoich.

Also if I clutch in after a long decel it overshoots idle and continues to hunt for a while. What can I adjust to help out?

*edited for poor wording*

How would I go about doing that?

Re: issue with fuel flow - too much

Ok I will try to find the happy medium and live with it. Is there anyway to add fuel after it hits a certain temp or time limit?

Also kudos on the latest updates. I started fresh with isc multiplier, startup enrichment, and dashpot and they all were super close right off the bat. Very minor adjustments so far and I feel like it’s better then I had it last year

Re: issue with fuel flow - too much

yes. it will continue to change though by how long the car has been ran.

whether it goes in at 1 min or 5 mins the error will still be off by the same amount. just now idling in my driveway before i left it was pulling 8-10% and up to about 300 ad counts was the same, after my 15 min ride in it was pulling 3-4%. it only seems to be in the idle and cruise ranges 350 ad counts and above seem to be more consistent.

Re: issue with fuel flow - too much

Cavitation was something I read in searching about this and listed the symptoms I see.

The issues are very minor and most would prob my not care but I feel like it could be better and that bugs me.

I have fuel pump prime time at 3 secs, is that long enough? I’ve posted here about this before and you mentioned my fuel pump being too big. If I get her up to temp shut it down and restart all will be well. If I drive for an hour and shut down for a few mins and restart it will be lean and the startup is not smooth. Not terrible just not smooth.

The biggest thing that I see is my fuel trims changing 15-20%. When she first kicks into closed loop it will be removing 10% which can give me lean stumbling on the first few shifts. As it gets up to temp trims get closer and closer to perfect. Then the longer it runs it’ll get leaner and start adding 5-10%. My kams never end up in that perfect spot I’ve been striving for. I have dialed in maf curve to the point of insanity lol.
