Re: Downgrading to CDAN4 to control newer vehicle

well for starters youd have to go backwards to an analog mlps, youd have to swap backwards to the hall effect cam sensor. There would be no calculated vehicle speed so youd need to swap an older cluster in if you want a speedometer. You also wouldnt have the ability to upgrade to real coil on /near plug.

why not just upgrade to an 03/04 ecu? its almost plug and play and has significantly more control than cdan4. Not to mention the datalogging is far beyond what BE is capable of. Oh and its all free and best yet your not software restricted either.

regardless of all that if its just that one issue your having just simply read your tune out with tunerpro and adjust the spark from there.

thats a horrific idea

why not just add the spark table ?

or if anything upgrade to an 03/04 luxury sedan ecu

Re: 1997 Mountaineer 5.0 for Coil-near-plug swap

ect and cht are not interchangeable.

ect is a simple thermister and just a simple potentiometer reads it. CHT requires dual resistor hardware to determine which slope its on.

I wrote ect code for rzasa thus why I always recommend the 03/04 ecus as they have the most inputs and outputs of any ecu so you can do pretty much anything you want with it.

also, no manuals needed as the pinouts are on the homepage under reference

Re: SAD Version 5 (alpha)

they arent

most commercial companies are given the memory maps from ford
its a backdoor thing that beneficial for all parties

ford performance parts couldnt exist if vehicles couldnt be tuned to run them

Re: Scanmatik 2 Pro & PCMFlash module #29 successful read

reading is no big deal anything will read them but writing requires the hardware to have an on-board 19v pull up so any device can read but only some can write

verify you can write too

Re: How many O2 sensors for dual exhaust

yeah the narrowbands do

the wideband is completely independent of the ecu. The wideband gauge has its own heater.

Re: How many O2 sensors for dual exhaust

no idea what your asking about the heater since you will not have rear o2 sensors
. pin 95 for hego 3 which you dont have?

yes ford uses edis for all cop
