Re: T4M2 Strategy with TunerPro is an Awesome Start but stall Issue

Ok loaded my T4M2 Tune into the car and have a couple of issues
1. Noticed my Maf is lean and had to add 30% to the entire curve which was within 1% Kamrf on the J4J1 strategy.
2. Maybe the PROm curve i had was incorrect as i did not have a print sheet with it. It is a fender style since it has a flange with 4 bolt connectors and the Maf itself says recalibrated on it, and have it connected directly to my KN filter inside the engine bay.
3. My idle is not stable and stalling while engaging the clutch at times in forward and reverse
4. I have slight surging when stopped at times and stable at other times.
5. My Kamrfs are within 5% at the moment.

Re: T4M2 Strategy with TunerPro is an Awesome Start but stall Issue

Ok I read the Fuel WriteUp and saw that Cranking PW requires scaling in table FN348.

OLD injector size / NEW injector size * NEW engine size / OLD engine size

This is a frest T4M2 my engine size has not changed.
1. Since the TM40 is a stock 19Lb injector tune the scaling formula would be 19/24 = .79
2. You would multiply the Y-axis of the cranking pw function as a percentage of the above:
3. So i took all the values in this table and multiplied them by the scaling factor of .79 giving a smaller pulsewidth

Re: T4M2 Strategy with TunerPro is an Awesome Start but stall Issue

Hi Decipha thanks for verifying the instructions your assistance is truly appreciated.
- As for the Crank PW do you recommend I use the Same Values I had in J4J1 I did not modify these tables.
- And do I change both Crank PW FN348A (ect modifier) and FN1350 (Multiplier)

Re: T4M2 Strategy with TunerPro is an Awesome Start but stall Issue

Hi Decipha thanks for the detailed explanation.
Read through the fuel writeup and understand how the K-Constant comes into effect now. So getting started i came up with a step by step procedure for this T4M2 strategy for others to follow. Would love your input i am using my 75mm Pro-M 24lb Maf, FRP 24lb injectors, Fuel Pressure currently set to 40lbs. No Current Tunes starting fresh with TunerPro once i get this up and running i will purchase EEC Analyzer to get familiar with that software and hopefully get my hands on a quarterhorse before next spring.

Procedure
1. Open TunerPro
2. Select XDF File Cbaza.xdf
3. Open File T4M2.bin file
4. Save File as TestT4M2.bin
4. Open Hi Slope and set to actual Injector size Eg: 24.84 from default value 19.203
5. Close Hi Slope before moving forward.
6. Now Setup Lo Slope, Breakpoint, Sarchg (CID), MinPW =Set to 0, Maf = Known curve? Use actual values and Manufacturers Inj Specs.
7. Save New Strategy TestT4M2.bin
8. If using Tweecer CalEdit open new bin file and load strategy (Never make changes in CalEdit Use Tunerpro for all changes)
Note: For users with 19lb injectors then no changes are needed as T4M2 has stock 19lb injectors?

Eg: Using 24 lb/hr Cobra injectors
*My injector data = 24.84
*High slope = 24.84
*Low slope = 24.84

*Break point = .0000100136
*MAF transfer = from a known
*SARCHG = 301.90
*Min PW = 0
* Global K-constant stays at 30

Re: T4M2 Strategy with TunerPro is an Awesome Start but stall Issue

Hi Decipha thanks for your reply I really value your input
1. Are you telling me to leave the default Maf settings as they are in this strategy I assumed the Stock T4M0 has 19 Lb injectors so changed it to 24.830 little confused here.
2. Do you recommend i leave hi slope and lo slope of equal value J4J1 uses 24.830 hi and lo
3. Clarification to above enquiry about Volts to Prom 24 - I changed the Maf Curve to the stock Prom 24 curve as suggested.
I think my confusion stems from the instructions as posted in tuner pro
1. Change the high slope to 30 - Then put the actual injector high slope in this scalar and go back and update those other 4 parameters to what they were prior - Is this correct not sure whether to use 30 or 24.
2. When changing the other 4 parameters it sounds like you want us to use the original settings that were in the strategy prior to changing the hi slope. I Modified these settings to the Manufacturers published data for 24 lb injectors
3. If you have a functioning tune and just want scaled values to be shown then change the Scaling percentage scalar to 1. This is already set to 1 by default so i did not change this.
So Sorry Decipha I think i am missing something I cannot nail down the above instructions as posted as the very first line in the instructions state Changing this value will cause the injector low slope, breakpoint, sarchg, and maf to be updated. I updated all 4 parameters is this the mistake i made.

Re: T4M2 Strategy with TunerPro is an Awesome Start but stall Issue

Ok changed my hi slope 1st to 24.9 then changed the rest of the parameters after this

Lo Slope 26.2
BP .00002219
Inj Batt = Man spec
Maf - Volts only to Prom24

Still had to add 30% to the Maf would this make sense as this is quite high.

Re: T4M2 Strategy with TunerPro is an Awesome Start but stall Issue

When i updated the Maf in TunerPro i only changed the Volts table and not the Ad Cts tables does Tuner Pro make the neccessary adjustments to the Ad Cnts table.

Re: T4M2 Strategy with TunerPro is an Awesome Start but stall Issue

Hi Decipha i used your template and merely used the same conservative values from J4J1. The first thing i did was get the Maf Curve setup.

1. input the stock prom24 curve first
2. ALOSL, AHISL Injector Slopes used 24lb high and 24lb low same for both
3. FUEL_BKPT Injector Breakpoint used the same breakpoint in the J4J1
4. FN 367 Injector Offset used same a J4j1
5. FN 2200 Borderline Spark Table kept same values
6. FN 035 Load Scaling used the same load values in TunerPro
7. FN 348A Crank PW wasnt too sure about the values in this Table as this is rated in LBs in Tunerpro and Caledit uses PW in msecs

So i did a conversion from 19 to 24 lb injectors and not sure if my calculations are correct i do not have a new engine size so the 2nd part of the equation will equates = 302 19/(new injector size) * (new engine size)/302
this is my Crank PW FN348A as it appears in Caledit after changing it in TunerPro

T4M2 Strategy with TunerPro is an Awesome Start but stall Issue

So i finally have my fuel dialed in on a stock J4J1 strategy and changed all my load values for N/A to add .9 load and setup my new spark tables car runs great along with a 100 other settings. So i thought i would move on to TunerPro and setup T4M2 and went through all the required values for startup tune and loaded my Prom24 maf curve along with all the other modifications neccessary. Moving Forward I want to use TunerPro i need to overcome this latest hurdle.
Car Started right up and idled fine initially. Cruising and Wide open is amazing love this tune. Then Car would stall on deceleration or out of gear while moving. Recalibrated and reset my idle it stabilized after a Kamrf reset. Same Stall Result

1. Datalogged my idle and watched Kamrf drop down to .70 at idle not sure how far adaptives go but currently idle is extremely rich. My Maf curve needed a 1% change with the J4J1 tune. i am missing something in this tune
2. I remapped my Maf curve to pull 5% fuel from .8 volts down and car flopped and loss some power this didnt work. Something is skewed causing Kamrf to drop like this.
3. As for CID i used 302 high and low slopes are both 24lbs similiar to J4J1 with same breakpoint and Offset.
8. For Crank PW FN348A Used same values as J4J1 with 24lb injectors so i lowered all these values meant for 19Lb injectors.

Re: 95 Mustang Gt Cbaza - J4J1 Strategy Question

Ok I opened the T4M2 file in Caledit and immedately noticed some considerable differences.
1. This file is showing an engine displacment of 472 vs 302 is this strategy based on a stroker motor build
2. Injector high slope is set to 30 will this work for 24Lb injectors
3. Egr System Type and Sensor type set to 2 I still have EGR so i can set this to 0 will do the same for Thermactor
4. I have all my emissions equipment installed so is there any thing else i should revert back in this strategy.
5. Nominal Air Fuel is set to 2048 from .9993
has Caledit recalculated these numbers or have i not opened the file correctly.
