Re: 2005 mustang gt with paxton/vortec supercharger idle issue

Just hp tuners. I was going to try and get into sct, but at this point, i have enough troubles with hp . I have "heard" sct has better descriptions for the tables to describe exactly what they do. I find that could be a huge benefit. I've never explored the software yet, so I don't know if that's true

Ok will do! Guy is bringing that predator handheld tomorrow morning. Going to try and get this done before turkey. Yea I agree it's alot going on. I'm getting crazy weird IPC errors.

Re: 2005 mustang gt with paxton/vortec supercharger idle issue

I figured out how to zip the file so it's above. Just a update though here. So I went back to the hpx maf excel file and figured out how to adjust for maf transfer. So I did it correctly and it runs 25% rich. Idle still flicking to 800 every 6 seconds about. I adjusted the gains again which helped steady timing some more. Watching the log the throttle blade is staying pretty still at 2.7 to 2.8 deg. I tried adding to the low slope even though injector dynamics data pretty spot on. Didn't matter so I put the maf transfer back to how I had it with fuel trims inline. Interesting thing I noticed is commanded idle is 736 and I have both tables set at 750. The etc iat adder tables are not making that adjustment because they are at zero in the hot ect areas and if anything it would command more rpm in the colder regions. Now this had a predator tune on it before it came to me I believe. I'm wondering if the file is corrupt. Going to ask the customer to bring me the predator handheld device and load in his stock file from that and remake the tune file from scratch. This thing is so weird. Fuel pressure looks ok. Pressure drops to 30psi when I wack throttle but that's how it's supposed to be I believe looking at fuel pressure drop under the fuel pump tab. I dunno. This thing is pissing me off lolol.

Re: Lopping at idle

Idle airflow tables. Have you dialed them in if it has them?

Re: 2005 mustang gt with paxton/vortec supercharger idle issue

reduced gain by 50%. Then did 80%. timing still bouncing but only from 14-15 to 18-20 degrees. Still not steady. Will flick the throttle every 4 to 5 seconds to 800rpm then hang around 730-750 rpm. Throttle blade is staying at 2degrees open constantly from what i can see in log. So I dont know if this has something to do with the hpx pmas maf sensor voltage scaled in file. I went to their site to use their excel spreadsheet to try to dial in all my info for the correct voltage and maf transfer with my 3.5 inch pipe but it wasnt working correctly. Still wont let me post log so ill email that.

2005 mustang gt with paxton/vortec supercharger idle issue

Hey guys! New to the fourm. I need a little help. Right now I am dealing with a 4.6L 05 mustang gt vortec. Idles pretty decent but sitting there idling you can see the rpm needle move up a tad it's very faint. I cant seem to get this corrected. I messed with airflow idle and drive tables with custom chart setup to dial in. Doesn't seem to work. I've played with the trq inverse tables which also doesn't seem to make it better. Desired brake trq, actual brake trq and ETC trq request are sitting at 15-ftlbs with actual bouncing around a bit. Id1050x data is correct based of their site. 93 octane car. It had a diablo maf translator so I trashed it and got a nice pmas hpx maf sensor and 8in long, 3.5in diameter maf pipe. It runs pretty good. Just can't get the idle perfect and I seem to have this issue with the coyotes as well. Just sporadic movement. Will idle dead nut on commanded target but every like 7 to 10 seconds the idle jolts a tad and I can hear it in the exhaust. Timing is moving like crazy.
