2 step setup
hi. i am trying to setup my neutral switch launch control and having some issues. i went into my tune and selected the correct neutral switch hardware settings and set the rpm to 2500 but when i attempt to use it the car acts like the ecu thinks its always in neutral and wont rev past what i set the 2 step to. could someone take a look and tell me what im doing wrong? thanks

Re: getting started
i looked at my timing table and you were right the advance looked really mild below 60% throttle. im going to try running this map tonight to see if it picks up any power but id like your opinion first to see if it looks safe. i filled the car up with 93 octane and im starting small and leaving the top end alone.

Re: getting started
Yea so here’s the thing my car only has 1 fan while the GT’s have 2 so I was under the impression the low speed was for 1 fan and the high speed was for the other and wasn’t quite sure what else to do there. I’ve been driving the car like this and it works and hasn’t overheated. As far as the spark adder goes it seems I misinterpreted what it was for I thought global spark adder meant it would add X amount of timing across the table but I’ll be setting that back to 0. I was wondering why it didn’t feel like it pulled any differently. I’ve been looking at the mass airflow transfer function and the curve looks really nice so I’m afraid to mess with it all in the name of trying to get an extra 5-10hp out of it.

getting started
hi. ive recently gotten a quarterhorse chip to work for my 98 3.8 single port mustang with a few mods and changed a few basic things like disabled emissions equipment that is no longer in use and added a few degrees of timing trying to get a bit more torque out of it on 93 octane. if i attach my current bin could anyone who knows what theyre doing look it over and give me some ideas of where to go from here? my plan is to swap the top end of the motor with a early 00s 4.2 split port top end and put a fairly aggressive cam in it but i really need to learn my way around what im doing with the computer first to make it run right. any help is appreciated.

Re: Datalogging corrupting tune
that seems to have done the trick. much appreciated. i did notice some values read slightly higher than expected. example my idle is set for 750 but it reads closer to 900 on the tunerpro dash and my coolant temp reads a good 10 or so degrees higher than my mechanical gauge. is there a calibration process i need to perform or is some variance just is what it is?

Re: Datalogging corrupting tune
The latest one that’s on the crai8 strategy file post. Do you have another I could try? I was never able to find the universal adx mentioned in the beginner guide.

Datalogging corrupting tune
I’m using a moates quarterhorse with a crai8 strategy ecu and every time I select “aquire data” to try and data log my car it corrupts my tune and the gauges and numbers spaz out and read erratically. Reflash my tune and alls fine until I try to data log it again. I’m using deciphas crai8 ADX file. Do I have a hardware issue or is something in tunerpro not configured correctly? I can read write and live tune the car perfectly fine I just can’t log it without it stalling and erasing my file. Any help is appreciated. I read the getting started guide but couldn’t find the “universal adx file” that’s mentioned and thought the strategy specific one would suffice.

Re: hhu1 bin
Ah. Whoops… won’t be doing that again then. I shut it off as soon as it started acting weird and changed it back. I’ll look around for the scaling settings and see if I can fix it. I was scratching my head wondering why all my other values looked normal except that one.
