Re: ford box code strategy cross reference

I'd be happy to add whatever you like to OpenEEC as well as add you to it.

I don't have that one, but I do have one for a 94. I can't remember which bin it was though.

EDIT: upon further digging, I believe I only have the 2.3 and 3.0 bins if that vintage. If you can get me a copy of your ECU I could probably whip something up.

[MA35C] 90-92 Ford Ranger 2.3 and 4.0

So, I was able to unify the 2.3 and 4.0 strategy under the MA35C board family. These two have some small differences but everything else matches.

I utilized the "visibility level" feature built into TunerPro to expose the necessary differences. Datalogging should work on the 4.0 with Decipha's 11/9/17 ADX that I provided. I will get around to updating the patch code eventually, but I know this works fine.

"Show All" does just that. It looks chaotic.
"Level 1" visibility is for the 2.3 specific stuff.
"Level 2" exposes the 4.0 stuff.

I built this around m0m2 and X0A respectivelty. The 3.0 "X1L" is far too different, and I'm working on a strategy for that.

Re: Easy way to create xdf files

SAD806x has a utility to export to an XDF but you'll have to organize it all manually. I don't remember if it can also do the equations and stuff though

Re: EEC IV Test Box

I use a Bowling & Grippo JimStim. It also works to power my OBD2 flashing jig.

Re: And on the subject of EEC terminals...

EEC-IV uses a 0.080/2mm pin, I haven't found a suitable replacement yet. We (OpenEEC) did make an interesting discovery for EEC-V though ๐Ÿ˜.

The EEC-V plug is smaller diameter. The same company sells both.

Those are the .110 pins, not the .060.

EEC-V uses an 0.040 size pin IIRC.

9 times out of 10, the Burn2 can do it without powering the ECU.
