Re: [READ0] Strategy File

Snake0503, (Paul)@BOOSTEDEVERYTHING. Have y'all done anything with the READ0 file lately? I'm wanting to run my "wasted spark" 5.0 off of it.

Re: 1993 Mustang 4 cyl D1L1

Thanks Michael. I'll fix the EGR situation with the tri resistor circuit. The owner can't go back and reinstall the EGR parts. The aluminum intake has had that boss shaved off and welded up. I'll recommend that he leave everything else stock. Thanks for the quick reply.

1993 Mustang 4 cyl D1L1

I hope that this is the appropriate category for this question.
I have a 1993 Mustang powertrain in a Ranger at my shop that has had a few modifications. One being EGR delete. Is there a bin file with a partial xdf file that has been started that would include EGR delete and the ability to make fuel injection data changes? Maybe some timing adjustments too?
I would like a simple explanation as to what is going on with the eight spark plugs. Longer fire duration?

Re: 5.0 HCI Tuning

auscob07, what brand of injectors do you have and are they 24#? I started doing some static tuning with a fresh copy of the A9L2 bin and didn't get far into it then realized I didn't have your manufacturers injector data.

Ok. That makes a lot of sense now that I can see the "execute" button

Re: 5.0 HCI Tuning

I'm just now starting to learn this, so there will be a lot of questions. I computed your injector change, 19/24 x 302/302 and came out with .7917.
I just now multiplied the Y-axis of the cranking pw function as a percentage of the...Now what do I do with it? In TunerPro I'm looking at FN348.
Do I multiply each of the nine rows by .7917? And I ask this next question because I don't know. Do I work with each row individually or can the whole group be changed at once?
As I get into this, I realize that I may need to start with a new copy of Michael's bin file because I don't know what Davidson has changed.
Remember, I'm a newbie here. I'm approaching 2nd grade. I'm past pre-k and kindergarden.

Re: 5.0 HCI Tuning

I've been looking at it here and there. I saw your K constant at 30 and I see a cubic inch setting that someone else saw, 377 cubes.

Re: 5.0 HCI Tuning

@ auscob07 Is your fuel system returnless?
What do you have your global fuel constant set at?
Are you using straight pump gas (gasoline) for fuel?

Re: 2000 ford mustang gt pats disable need help

This thread is from last December. I did as you instructed the original thread starter and then was curious of what changes occurred. There were 4 changes. I assume that the changes have to do with everything from checksum to switching power onto injectors and maybe even something to do with the security indicator light? Just curious.

Re: 5.0 HCI Tuning

auscob07, I see. I want to plug in your numbers to see how far that I can get through Michael's method. Thanks.
