spent some time on the Model A on sunday.. owner purchased a new IACV... made a big difference. logged the ipsibr and got it adjusted as well as it can be. tried a WOT run and it does some weird stuff.. had been logging and lambse and kamrf both were behaving properly.. then after we did the WOT run...

yes, idle rpm is moving when screw goes in & out..
so do i set idle with no load or with the auto tranny in drive with brake on??

problem is this, it didnt change whether i let the screw out and idle way down.. or in and idle up.. ... frustrated. also, your a9l2 program (how do you refer to it? tune? program? chip? calibration?) in your idle air writeup, you said its setup for manual idle control.. does that mean the Idle air ...

today i went to adjust the throttle stop.. started datalogging and was watching the ipsibr but it just sat at 0.0000.. no matter what i did..

i was reading over your idle air writeup... and i got to looking at my ipsibr readings.. is it supposed to change given different conditions? mine seems to be a non changing 0.60

looked at some of my datalogs and they were around 0.992 - 1.003 or closer to 1

i spent some time today on the model a... here's the issues: at idle once it starts getting warm, the idle starts surging.. drops down to about 500 rpm.. at around 13:1 afr, then goes to about 1400 rpm at 22:1 afr. it needs more fuel but i'm not sure where to add it to make a difference. i messed wi...

when you say enable the drive functions, you mean TRLoad set to 4 = auto, non electronic, neutral drive switch ?
if so, that has been done. and engagement enrichment... does that mean fuel drive engagement vs ect ? FN371 ?

biggest problem is it goes way lean when we put it in gear.. mainly reverse but also to a less extent, drive. i modded FN371 but doesnt seem to make a difference.

it was at 14 originally, i raised it up to 18 at 400 & 1350 (but i just did that yesturday..)
whats the PID for neutral idle feedback spark multiplier ? not finding it

there's a wire going to pin 30.. Clint's tracing it down to see where it goes.. we're assuming its going to the nds circuit though.. is there something i need to do with the Bin file to activate? or is it "plug n play"?

alright, Clint's been gone a lot, and then i went on vacation.. finally have had a chance to do some more tuning on the Model A. i edited the file making the suggested changes to MAF transfer adding the 5.12v value.. changed the injector offset at 0v to 3ms per your suggestion.. adjusted the load sc...

what would make lambse set at a steady 14.65 for most of a datalog session.. only time it changed is when i got on the throttle hard.

ok, looking at the datalog i just made, i have Load and Loadx.. i'm trying to set up FN 035.. do i use the datalogged values from Load or LoadX for filling in FN035 ? my max Load value was about 95 and my max LoadX value was around 164. (these are peak values) (16.483 seconds in the datalog) biggest...

well he swapped over the o2 wiring and took it for a drive.. said it runs better than it ever has :).. wbo2 readings between 14-15:1

i had clint check his o2 sensors.. turns out that they are hooked up wrong. also.. no X pipe.. straight dual exhaust..
do you use 2 wbo2's when you tune or just keep it on one bank?

Ok would that indicate a bad o2 sensor on the passenger side bank since it wasn't bouncing around? . It hovered around 0.8 while the driver side bank bounced from 0.1 to 0.75 ? I'm assuming that when the system goes to closed loop, that means both banks

so when datalogging, i can log MAF, VMAF, and IMAF ... is the MAF value i'm seeing in the logs raw or calculated from the VMAF value? side note: what would cause the engine from running fine.. both o2 sensors reading about the same... then all of a sudden, the driverside bank o2 voltage starts bounc...

well, solved the ACT/ECT issue.. previous tuner.. for whatever reason.. lifted the ground for both the act/ect and who knows what else was effected.. i dont think he realized what he was doing.. anyway, now i've gotta hook the laptop back up and do some logging. that'll happen on sunday.. woohoo.. 1...
