Re: Intro/Garage thread

Noted! makes more than enough sense.
I havent used a turbo blanket, keeping all of the heat in the turbine is a good thing for the pyromechanics and what not isnt it? and under hood temps I'm sure.

Re: Intro/Garage thread

It's been awhile since I've been on here, update though. I had my downpipe made and tig welded, updated wastegate location and WB o2 location. up to 3.5" now, I can stick my whole arm in there... Had a little trouble with my turbo drain, I had the welder conveniently place the WG just about inf...

coretuning.net strategies

So I purchased a Strategy from coretuning.net (clint garrity) to find out that I NEED a USB dongle upgrade to use a strategy from them that I had purchased.
Waiting to hear back on how much the dongle "upgrade" is. There sure are a few dollar signs that pop out of nowhere... :|

Re: Alabama, Georgia, and Carolinas

Yeah trusting a GPS can get kind of dangerous at times haha. Westward is the blue ridge mountains. Some of the most beautiful landscape in America, that I've seen. Also the Dragons tail is on the tennessee/north carolina border. That was pretty badass, even in a rental Chrysler 200 XD

So if I were to get the FBFG2 strategy, which bin file would I use? would I need a stock FBFG2.bin?

Re: CVAF1 strategy to CVAE7?

Ok, is Sailorbob the issuer of this particular strategy? If I get this strategy.. I can put my factory calibration back in, and start from there? I havent seen pids on this at all yet, I'm excited to see values.

Re: CVAF1 strategy to CVAE7?

How can I modify the tune myself? I do not have obd-2 capabilities unfortunately. It is cool it works! Since its going to be a bit of time before you finish your strat. would you recommend me staying with CVAF1 or go to CVAE7 for now? I'll just order that and work with it from there. I'd be glad to ...

Re: CVAF1 strategy to CVAE7?

it seemed about right to me but my wideband sensor isnt installed. its a PMAS 3in tube.
I seeeee got a ways to go yet then? So with this tune I will be able to modify it with the binary your working on, once its done.
Could I modify it with a cvfa1 bin? data-log?

Re: CVAF1 strategy to CVAE7?

Yeah it wrote to the QH. It fired up instantly but had to keep on the gas to keep it idleing, it was cool though because based on my foot I could get it as low as I could.. it was sitting at ~200 rpms and running smooth lol. Unfortunately I cannot let it warm up and take it for a cruise just yet.

Re: CVAF1 strategy to CVAE7?

The PCM type cannot be set to unknown. please select the parameter "bankcount" on the config tab of the strategy file to 1,2 or 4 and try again

I looked where it specified and it does say bank count 4 in the file.. it wont let me write because of this

PCM Type: Unknown
File Size: 0x38000

Strategy
Name: 4bank.xls
Revision: 0
Owner Name: EFIDynoTuning

Am I not loading this in correctly? Why would a "blank" strategy run my car?

Re: CVAF1 strategy to CVAE7?

Had a busy night, I've got the .bin in my calibration, and 4bank.xls as my strategy. When I get home I will load it up and fire. Unfortunately my cooling system is disabled at the moment as I am trying to mock up my new 3 1/2 inch downpipe. I'll see how she sits though. Edit Got the theft light flas...

Re: CVAF1 strategy to CVAE7?

Ok this is good news, glad there is some development around the EEC-V system still.
That sounds great to me! So I could have either cvae7 or cvaf1 and use your definition?

CVAF1 strategy to CVAE7?

Hello, second post here. I am about to purchase a strategy file for 200$ and would like to make sure I'll be getting the most for my money. Re: Intro/Garage thread

Thanks alot for the support Decipha! I cant wait to start as soon as I purchase my Strategy. It has brought me through some hard times that tune, but I know I'm capable of recreating that or beyond. Thats how I would think to be! once you have a customer with positive views, your bound to get more. ...
