Re: Cam designed for EFI vrs carb
You listed 2 part numbers: 35-427-8 and 35-417-8. I think you're talking about the first one. The issue I see with it is it's a reduced base circle, retro-fit cam) which isn't bad in itself. But any time the base circle is reduced you compromise the lobe design (ramp rates) a little. I suspect that combined with the 110 LSA might be causing the issues you describe. I hope you asked Ed for a full base circle cam and run the link-bar lifter set.

Re: Tune Analysis 5.0 A9L
I started a new thread because it wasn't about the Datalogging Patch anymore.
I realize an idle datalog is useless. I'm reading your directions on the homepage but also trying to follow your directions that are listed under the steps. i.e. Step 1 says it's only for those directed there by you with a custom tune. I just didn't think I fit into that category. I will purchase the Custom Tuning package if I need to.
The surging started to smooth out the longer it ran.

Re: Tune Analysis 5.0 A9L
I think the tune is corrupted as the fuel pump ran a little longer than I expected. I just shut the key off and then restarted.

Tune Analysis 5.0 A9L
I loaded the tune you sent me and ran a small log but it was probably too small or not in closed loop yet (because it was surging a lot) to do any good. I see that in your directions now, after the fact. It's Datalog 1 Idle.
Also, when I try to close TunerPro, it says "Aquisition Definition Modified, Save?" Do I save that?
And that datalog is attached now to TunerPro instead of just being a saved datalog which I thought it would be. Is this correct?

Re: Datalogging Patch Error?
Thanks. I guess I don't have the TP setup right even after following your directions and double checking them. Because after downloading the BIN, when I double click on it, it won't automatically load. I suppose no matter because I can go in under File and "Open BIN"?

Re: Datalogging Patch Error?
Here is the last tune I received. I have not loaded it yet and ran it. I also have the WOT and cruise datalogs from Tune 11, which is prior to this one.

Re: Datalogging Patch Error?
Also, where can I find an OEM/Ford/Motorcraft distributor?
I have a Cardone which I didn't want but was the only option in a pinch.
Thanks.

Re: Datalogging Patch Error?
Nice! I'm fairly sure the fuel is good and spark should be pretty good. Driveability is the concern. AND it also sounds like the A9L2 is miles above what I have. I'm just experiencing some bucking when I downshift into 2nd and let out. None when I downshift into 3rd and let out.
I'll attach it later this evening.
Thanks!

Re: Datalogging Patch Error?
Okay, well that escalated quickly. I don't know how to tune. I suppose I need to upgrade to the Custom Code Tuning option - Online/Remote tune.

Re: Datalogging Patch Error?
Oh nice, thanks for getting back to me. My BIN file is written for Binary Editor. I'm guessing I need to load it through BE and then use the TunerPro to datalog? I followed all the directions for setup on the site under the Getting Started tab.
Should I attach the BIN file somewhere for you to look at to make sure it will work with the TunerPro?
