Re: Mechanical idle - 1861

Sorry boss -- I re-read it twice now, and I'm still not clear. Most of it says it's only provided for informational purposes only?

Re: Mechanical idle - 1861

So, use the A9L2 version without dividing by 6?

Mechanical idle - 1861

This is a screenshot of 1861 from A9L2

The idle air writeup says to divide all the cells by 6. That would be:
1861 divided by 6.png
Which one should I use?

Re: Lean during lifts - that's ok right?

Thanks!

I'm writing that down in my EEC-IV notebook now, so I don't bug you again.

Lean during lifts - that's ok right?

IIRC we had a conversation on the old board about the tune for my track motor. I'm out testing it today and it's stoich in maintenance throttle, rich by the right amount during WOT. But when I lift to shift or decelerate for a corner, and there's no perload to speak of, it's crazy lean. IIRC, that's okay right? I'm not hurting the motor?

Goofy ECT Data - too low

A while back I upgraded my old 5.0 H.O. with GFUB to a Blueprint 347 stroker longblock. Life since then has been too busy to get any tuning done beyond getting the base fuel table and the air masses dialed in right. I started looking at startup fuel enhancement today and I noticed the ECT temp data read way too low.

I replaced the coolant temp sensor with a new one when I installed the 347. Guess it's a dud? It's kind of a drag because the whole upper intake tract and the P/S fuel rail needs to come off so I can get at it, but I'll order the part and get to it.

The ECT figures read 40 degrees low. E.g., if the engine coolant is really 80 degrees at the ECT sensor, the data link to the Quarterhorse reads 40 degrees. If the coolant is really 205, the Quarterhorse data shows 165. Whatever's going on, it doesn't throw the Check Engine light. Contact cleaner on the harness/sensor connection doesn't help. (If I just unplug the sensor, the Quarterhorse shows 90 degrees.)

Is there maybe some chance that the ECT minimum and maximum voltage range settings in the BIN have gotten knocked out of wack? Or do I really need to replace this sensor?

Thanks

Re: Old posts?

Sorry, never mind. I just found the updates in The Range.

I kept some written notes from my old questions, but I wish I had kept them even better!

Thanks

Old posts?

Hi,

I've posted a handful of times with GFUX questions in the last couple years. I tried to log in today, and I had to re-register. Also, I'm not finding the old posts. Am I doing something wrong, or has all the older stuff gone to the great beyond?

Thanks,

Jamey
