Re: 03 cobra - SCT Tuning questions

Ok on it now. I'll be able to make any final adjustments in the MTF at this point. Going to run it up one more time for the owner while she's on the rollers. Really appreciate your help with this !

Re: 03 cobra - SCT Tuning questions

I have to take my final Bin I was working with in TP and get it on the SCT x4 hand held. What's the procedure to do so ? Can I just open the .bin in advantage under AMZ2 and then save it as i would in .cef ?

Re: Actual Spark vs MBT & BDL

Good point on the timing chain stretch and I figured a bit of variation was normal but just wasn't sure if this was excessive or not.

Re: Incorporating Mechanical Idle Control

I still have a lot to learn about idle air tbh. I just wanted to try it for the heck of it to see how it all worked out vs non mech idle. As you mentioned though it seems to be working just fine and I don't really have any complaints !

Re: Load With Failed Maf Correction

Correct me if im wrong but from my understanding if the maf fails then the engine will keep on running using the load values in the lwfm table. Load value = an air mass and the ecu calculates fuel delivery based on that. On 2002 + strats they started using the lwfm table for transient fueling to help predict fueling. When you tip into the throttle the eec references the lwfm table first and then the maf to help with fuel calculations, so it's important to have it somewhat dialed in which in turn should net smoother running conditions, Pretty much a VE table.

Re: Load With Failed Maf Correction

I played with this today and the histogram works great! Applied the corrections in certain cells / zones and then repopulated the table with positive results! Def a little tough as I still don't know how to use the interpolate and smooth functions of TP.

Re: Actual Spark vs MBT & BDL

So why would I be losing some spark advance compared to what is being commanded. Like you were saying its either not accurate or is there something modifying the commanded spark ?

Incorporating Mechanical Idle Control

Just checking to see if I'm setting this up correctly. FN800 is labeled FN8000 in this calibration and I don't know what it means by remove the 10% clip and or reduce 100% values. May or may not be on this table or am I missing something.

FN1862 - If I divide the entire table by 6 it does not result in the 0.172 value at the top warm ECT cells
