Thanks.

Re: WOT Fueling Help - Injector Data Off

By data are you meaning fuel injector data is? I see the FRPP - LU60 Siemens Deka @ 40psi, wanted to verify if that's what you meant is the correct data for my injectors

Does k constant go by another name perhaps? Probably going to abandon BinaryEditor for diy at this rate.

WOT Fueling Help - Injector Data Off

Doing DIY tuning to learn, gotten what I feel like is a solid tune from the write-ups.

Doing some searching I found that injector data being wrong or not dialed in would be the culprit for my fuel error between gears. I am running Siemens Deka 60#@43.5psi FI114961 injectors with the inj data found from: https://www.usa.vdo.com/media/747298/fi ... ksheet.pdf

Something to note as well: Fuel pressure is 39psi iirc stock 96 cobra setup, so I am unsure if the data would be still be the same or need adjustment due to the test data being at 43.5psi? What's entered into tune is of course not scaled, keeping it simple and straightforward solely for the question.

Low slope: 63.6956424
High slope: 60.6865752
Breakpoint: 0.0000318069
Min PW: 1.312070161

vs what's entered into tune:

Low slope: 63.697 (0.0013576 difference)
High slope: 60.687 (0.0004248 difference)
Breakpoint: 0.00003180
Min PW: 0.00000 (stock for cdan4/llx3)

The difference is due to resolution for the data points. I am unsure if this calibration/strategy-specific or specific to the ECU.

Voltage offsets are as following but I had retained stock:
15v 0.4066
14v 0.4879
13v 0.5992
12v 0.7059
11v 0.8367
10v 1.0174
8v 1.5462
6v 2.756084309
  • Do I need to set Min PW if idle causes to be entirely too rich?
  • Do I need to adjust high / low slopes due to what's entered into the tune being slightly off?
  • What about voltage offsets? Like the above, the Y resolution is 0.0313 which means at 12v the voltage offset would be 0.7188 instead of 0.7059. Close enough and see what happens or will they need to be dialed in as well?

Re: Couple questions

Is this checking long term fuel trims of both banks to each maf voltage step?

Re: Erratic Spark Source @ Idle

thanks. temporary DIY tune for being able to drive it around town for now until the real tune comes, thinking motor mount on one side is loose. appreciate it.

anything at idle in particular that could be causing the rough idle? i'm sure isc duty cycle is all over the place and needs tuned. afr 1.0 lambda, rpm just bouncing around and won't hold steady.

Erratic Spark Source @ Idle

DIY tune to get it running around town for now, but I have an 800rpm idle set that's incredibly rough due to spark source jumping from idle feedback, idle feedback clip, base, repeat very rapidly. Not certain that's supposed to be normal but is the only thing I can find. Fueling sits around 1.0 lambda. If I even slightly tap the gas pedal everything's normal. No other issues elsewhere. What might be the cause?

Yep CDAN4 / LLX3. I always forget the terms for what "CDAN4" would be, and "LLX3". I hear about a million different terms for each. Strategy, calibration, etc.

Also curious what you mean by 256k binary? Definition file for TunerPro RT? Trying to familiarize myself with everything.

Unable to locate these PIDs

DIY tuning, scaling down my tune because I believe injectors might be clipping. Can't seem to find FN040A [Inferred Airmass], FN041 [Normalized Airmass], FNRFNM_FLOW [Fuel Pump Flow Rate] though I think I'm excluded since I am return fuel system, FN096 [Inferred TPREL], nor IDLMAF [Minimum Idle Airmass Clip] in LLX3 tune using Binary Editor.

I assume if I were recommended TunerPro RT instead, there's no easy way to transfer tunes between the two and would have to copy paste between the two?

Also iirc there wasn't a solid definition file for it though I may be wrong.

Digital Dash

I am new to TunerPro and how everything is setup software-wise but am familiar with BinaryEditor so excuse my ignorance. I have a '96 Mustang Cobra (CDAN4/LLX3) that I am looking to convert the dash digitally. I currently use a Windows tablet with BE in dashboard mode but the current issue is that BE is not lightweight enough, and so I've come to learn about TunerPro RT & TunerView. I've briefly tinkered with and I've learned I'm going to need an ADX file for datalogging purposes. I assume I will have to wait for something publicly posted, or become a premium member to get ahold of one?

Thanks in advance!
