Yes, at tdc the sensor needs to align with the 5th tooth

Re: Module communications question, coyote swapped car.
Yep your correct, the gen 1 coyote doesnt use the bcm. Its the gen 3 that does where you have to change the speedo in the bcm and then relearn the data in the ecu.

Re: Module communications question, coyote swapped car.
Thats not strange at all its perfectly normal.
forscan does not search for all modules
it does a search first for the ecu and if its found it uses the pcm id to determine what other modules to look for. Forscan was written that way it has absolutely nothing to do with the pcm itself.
The pcm doesnt get the odometer from the cluster.
on the yote the bcm comms the odometer. On the 06 the pcm comms the odometer.

Re: 95 Mustang Gt Cbaza - J4J1 Strategy Question
As you've seen caledit uses .bin as well and can open it just fine and write it to the tweecer. The .ccf file is if you save any changes or anything with caledit which you should never do.
Correct, 30lb injector high slope and 472 cubic inches is the factory values for a stock 19lb 302 when you use the ecu's maximum resolution. This is due to the k-constant and is the principle of scaling.
After you read the fuel write up it will make perfect sense. Keep in mind that is just how caledit shows the values. That same tune opened in tunerpro will show the correct 19lb injector high slope and correct 302 cubes. Again this emphasizes the importance of using tunerpro to tune and only using caledit to write. FYI 302 / 472 = 0.639 * 30 == 19lb injector
If that's confusing you too much then its probably best you upgrade to a moates quarterhorse so everything makes perfect sense and you'd have far better logging and tuning abilities as well using tunerpro.

The strategy is CBAZA, t4m2 is the calibration file.
There is no conversion.

Re: 95 Mustang Gt Cbaza - J4J1 Strategy Question
caledit sucks for editing tunes and is notorious for corrupting stuff.
Best bet is to start fresh with a base tune using tunerpro and then just open the tune with caledit and write it to the tweecer.
What does no pressure regulator mean? Are you saying your using the stock regulator and not an adjustable?
If your maf is calibrated for 19lb injectors then that means it uses the stock maf transfer. Simply dial in the injectors and your good to go.
But, 24lb injectors at stock 40psi base fuel pressure is not going to be sufficient to supply the fuel demand of any healthy HCI 302 when properly tuned.

ECT and ACT is single byte and have to be signed since they read negative temps. Natively they are in degrees F.
equation is X/0.5
Its probably wrong in your file if it was based on the old guf strats as they were all wrong as well. I caught it and fixed it over 10 years ago.

Re: data logging additional sensors
That device is a moates superlogger.
Yes returnless EEC-V has a FRPS input to do just that and log fyel rail pressure. The additional benefit is that if your fuel system cant keep up it will compensate for the pres drop and prevent you from leaning out.
You can use an 03/04 v8 mustang automatic ecu to keep the fan controls.
what vehicle do you have? Year make model engine and mods? Assuming the 98 in your profile you should be good. Tach or speedo may not work though.

Re: Where to buy Moates QuarterHorse & J3 Chips for sale
Someone contacted me that wanted a chip and jaybird to remove their QH since their tune has been finalized for a while now with no issues. They offered to send in the QH in exchange for a J3 Chip and a Jaybird Pro. I agreed and figured I'd post it here in case anyone else might want the same.
