Re: Getting Started...

follow the details in the scaling write up

air manifold volume has nothing to do with the actual intake manifold, its the modeling for transient fuel, you can leave it be until you get your tune dialed in

Re: Logging WOT load at low RPM

its common for load to go ape shit down low due to all the turbulence in the maf and its worse with autos and unlocked converters best thing to do is to force enrichment below 2500 by using throttle only, you will see in FN035 below 1300 load is 200 which basically nulls out any enrichment down low ...

Re: 97 Cobra, change to a different EEC?

the ecu itself can be upgraded to a newer ecu no problem which falls under the same guidelines as a refurbished or parts store replacement ecu the kicker is that it has to be running the oem factory calibration no, emissions is based on the specific vehicle year make model and trim (engine). The ori...

Re: 97 Cobra, change to a different EEC?

emissions are good, but just for the record; In the USA the only ecu's that are allowed to be used on any vehicle "that is capable of being driven on the street" are factory equipped ecu's running the factory emissions qualified calibration. Just because florida doesn't enforce the federal...

Re: A9L2 Tune into 8LD EEC progress

as long as it views correctly u can write it no prob I just dont see the point in using such an outdated strategy though. GUFA was iirc ~1986 where as gufb was 1987. I dont understand why anyone would want to use an outdated strat that has poor support when the much newer better supported strat is t...

in the v6 community they hook one of the injectors up to a switch so they can shut it off at idle to cause it to lope and be very unstable, same principle

Re: help finding strategy for S0M box code.

efi-sd3xx is the hardware code

if its a v8 u can try loading a efi-sd4x cal on it off the homepage

whats it out of ?

in any case, any strategy for that is going to be catch code specific. There is none that i know of for that ecu and will most likely never be any made for it.
