Has anyone ever tried or successfully pulled and/or flashed software for the ABS modules used on Mustangs from 99-04? These were Bosch units.
This unit can already be used standalone, but it would be awesome to be able to tune it for increased tire size and grip as well as better brake pads. Then if it's a traction control unit be able to tune for desired wheel slip and then could probably do launch control.
I know a tall order but would be awesome. Could be a competitor to the MK60 ABS that others are swapping in.

Re: Tunerpro Error while Running. EMI?
Won't say it's completely fixed but I am able to datalog for longer than 30 seconds now. So I'll call that a win!
I added a second ignition capacitor to the passenger side coils wire. I had the one on the drivers side already. I noticed in the wiring diagrams Marauder's called out one on each side. Dug through my collection of wiring harnesses and found another one to add to my harness on the passenger side. Interestingly the F150 harness that I had also had two capacitors.

Re: Mustang SBF EECIV to EECV Swap
As dleach mentioned need to use the later 2 wire cam sync and crank position.ATPCR wrote: ↑2023 Apr 23, 21:55 I assume that you are using the Explorer camshaft position sensor. Are you using the two wire or 3 wire? Do you have a spare '03-'04 Ford full size PCM that you would sell reasonable? I have all of the topside engine part of my '99 Crown Vic harness removed and still have to get the transmission and O2 wiring (and anything that I may have overlooked) disconnected. I purchased a 1999 Crown Vic wiring book for reference. Glad to hear that you got it fired up.
I don't have a spare 03-04 luxury. Do you have a local junkyard? Row52.com is useful for seeing inventory.

Re: Tunerpro Error while Running. EMI?
Quarterhorse was replaced with new last year. However this is its first use. The QH battery voltage reads good though.

Re: Tunerpro Error while Running. EMI?
Laptop is running on battery. Familiar with ground loops.
USB cable is just sitting on floorboard at the moment. I'm going to use a portable AM radio today to try to narrow down noise source. Also going to try a ferrite bead at both ends of the USB cable. The USB bluetooth option is interesting, I'll look into that.

Re: Tunerpro Error while Running. EMI?
Well aluminum foil didn't help. Sometimes it errors out immediately after startup sometimes it's like 30 seconds. Tried to see if related to switch from OL to CL, but that doesn't seem to correlate.
Moates isn't around anymore. If I can find and fix the EMI issue then don't need some other component.

Tunerpro Error while Running. EMI?
I'm having an issue where Tunerpro RT will start getting connection errors shortly after starting the engine. When this happens the dashboard freezes and datalog data is all flat lines.
A short description of the car/setup: it's a 94 Mustang with EECV, modified stock harnesses, and coil near plug. Since it only occurs after the engine is running I am thinking EMI noise.
Thinks I have done or checked:

Thinks I have done or checked:
- Used stock harnesses in attempt to keep stock powers and grounds
- Coil powers used from a stock 4.6L harness, so it has the ignition capacitor connected to ground
- Tried every USB cable I own, with and without ferrite bead and different lengths. I have ordered a high quality one to try next
- Tested with coil power directly connected to battery ie not through harness or on ECU powers
- Tested with extra ground from engine to chassis
- Tested with alternator disabled
- Confirmed EECV grounds and case ground
- Cam sync and crank position wiring is twisted pair with shielding connected to ground at ECU end
- Latest FTDI driver
- Tried multiple driver latency values
- Tried several different ADX files, but all released ones from Decipha
- Verified Tunerpro settings match "Getting Started" writeup
- Car is mainly a racecar so a lot of wiring and components have been removed (HVAC, radio, air bags, etc)

yea explorer timing cover and crank trigger. I made my own wheel though.dleach1407 wrote: ↑2023 Apr 21, 14:14 What crank trigger did you end up using? Are you using the sn95/explorer timing cover?

Re: Mustang SBF EECIV to EECV Swap
Quick update: the engine officially runs on RZASA with Godzilla coils!!
It wasn't all smooth sailing though
It wasn't all smooth sailing though
- Don't forget to scrape off the protective layer on the J3 port, quarterhorse won't work... All me how I know :)
- I had ECT incorrectly wired, it should go to pin 38, which is different then Crown Vic/Marauder/Grand Marq/etc cars
- I never could find a wiring diagram for the Godzilla coils and guessed, I guessed wrong and had them wired backwards which gave a weak spark
- Moved ground wire from Pin 77 to Pin 3, seemed to help. I dunno
- Now fighting an issue with Tunerpro where it disconnects after starting the engine and I can't datalog
- Once get the above issue fixed and start getting datalogs to Decipha and can hopefully get this thing ripping again!
