Re: 400hp 351w startup tune

Ok cool. With the tallish tires I'd definitely be leaning toward a higher stall than stock.

Re: 400hp 351w startup tune

I'm just glad you put some thought into the convertor. It's often overlooked. Are the axle gears and tires going to be stock?

Re: 400hp 351w startup tune

It could be fine but I'll mention a couple things. Depending on how choppy the cam is, the engine may be sleepy in the lower rpms. If the convertor is really tight at that point the take off will be sluggish until she's on the cam. The other thing that could happen but prob won't, You can overpower the coupling ability of the convertor or drive "through it" and power will be wasted. This scenario is more likely when making huge power.

Re: Speed Limiter Issue?

did you crank up the fuel pressure? Starving for fuel can seem like a limiter. Popping, missing breaking up or it just lays down. all could be from fuel. the 19# injectors are too small unless you crank up the pressure a D said.

But I do spend nearly every weekend from April to October at a track drag racing... And every Wednesday too...
One of the few using EFI, probably the only using a factory computer.
I'm from Newington CT. Where are you located? What track do you mostly go to? - George

you don't want 24* @ WOT on a boosted mod motor. I'm on a Fox body so my info on newer stuff is minimal.

Re: Timing Control/ Table

I went to the mbt timing chart on the homepage to confirm. The mod engines don't like much timing at all. you're in the ballpark with 15 wot based on the chart.
