Like a USB to OBD2 cable using Flash and Burn?

As stated above.
I purchased the following for working with EEC-IV and EEC-V:
1 x 'QuarterHorse' for Fords
1 x FA Ford Module Programming Adapter
1 x 'F3v2' Ford Memory Adapter
1 x FE Ford EEC Computer Reading Interface
1 x 'BURN2 Chip Programmer'

I can now read any EEC on the bench without powering the device.
I can tune using the Quarter Horse.
After tune is finished burn it to the F3 chip, and swap out the Quarter Horse.

Fun stuff!!
So even though Burn2 is a chip programmer I still need it to read stock ECUs?

I am more than willing to shell out the money for the equipment I just don't want to buy something I'll never use.

Stock ECU Clone?

I'd like to start off by saying I am a complete novice at all this as I've just begun to dive into learning to tune and digesting all the information out there.

With that said is it possible to clone an ECU using hardware from Moates and Tuner Pro RT or similar equipment without going through a dealer?

When I say clone I mean clone everything. PATS, VIN, tune, all of it. As I understand it so far the box codes would have to match and I don't for see a problem finding one.

Also I've done some reading on the Moates site and I am a little confused on exactly what gear I need. Can someone provide me with a quick list of what I need to buy?

Thanks.

Re: Opinions on new build

Even though I run a Kenne Bell 2.1 I only suggest thier blowers as a whole to people who have 2V cars and need to deal with emissions. This because it's the only smog legal PD blower available for the 2V.

If emissions isn't a concern go Tork Tech and don't look back. Judging by your eyeballing of the 2.6 I assume you're not worried about emissions testing.

Why tork tech instead of Kenne bell? First off going Tork Tech will give you far more blower options and potential. Want to upgrade down the line? No problem just buy a bigger blower. With Kenne Bell you'll have to buy an entire kit because they don't want people to simply upgrade.

Lastly I could go on and on about the quality or lack there of in the Kenne Bell 2v kits. Yes Tork Tech has problems too but don't be fooled into thinking Kenne Bell is better. That 2.6 manifold is just a modified 2.1 manifold as well, it's nothing special and the casting itself is by no means close to OEM. It also has an issue on the passenger side gasket surface that Kenne Bell hasn't fixed.

Go Tork Tech.
